since this whole thing started. Washington allocated $100 million to help fight the outbreak. The state of oregon so far has only allocated $5 million and is super behind on testing.

I'm currently in Spain for the Fire's Festival in Valencia only to find out its been canceled. I'm currently in Madrid and there's talk of airport closures. I was planning to retire here but was hoping the move would be voluntary.

Hi I took 2.5 weeks of vacation and am just returning to the forums, can someone bring me up to speed on whether we're taking COVID seriously yet? Like I'm not one to grind an axe but I was repeatedly told I was sowing fear and panic over nothing (including by one idiot who claimed to be an HIV epidemiologist  ) but I think we're taking it seriously now? Right?

Have a healthcare worker friend who still refuses to care any more than a shrug and "eh, I wish they would stop talking about it" Like they can't wrap their head around that people are worried about a new virus that's spreading like mad and experts don't know how to reduce the spread.

The son of one my parents' best friends works at the CBS News office that just got the Roni. I know he visited with his mom and my parents down in Florida recently, but I don't remember exactly how long ago. Sometime within the last two weeks though. Weeeeeee!

Chuds like Marc Rubio are still making the flu comparison and the US government is still doing a loving terrible job of managing things, the House is trying to get things done but you already know that the Senate is going to poo poo on anything that might help poor people.
