habeasdorkus posted:It's honestly pretty cool that pro soccer is a viable enough option for a good player to leave peonage ball early to turn pro. Sanchez had no real choice, from what I heard. Her grades were bad enough that she was in danger of losing her academic eligibility so going pro was prob the only way for her to keep playing.

Milan were down 2-0 at 50 minutes this morning and scored 3 goals in 20 minutes, including an 89th minute winner to take a comeback win over Roma at home. Juve are (of course) way ahead of everyone else but 2-3-4 in the league are only 5 points apart and Milan have a game in hand.

Liverpool Ladies somehow won a game against Bristol City with recent acquisition Rachel Furness scoring the loan goal. Despite not being able to score at all, Liverpool's defense has been decent, so I think everyone is hoping that somehow they can pick up enough points to ultimately beat Bristol City on goal difference. Hopefully Liverpool can ultimately get better management and more investment into the women's side in the long term.

Milan won the derby today, comeback win from 1-0 down to win 2-1. Berglind Thorvaldsdottir has 4 goals in 4 matches; she seems like a great signing. Next weekend is the big match vs Fiorentina, who Milan are tied for second with.

Liverpool FC Women got their match against Birmingham postponed due to a waterlogged pitch. Their match against Manchester United got postponed for the same reasons too. This is ridiculous. https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/51348407 I don't know why Chelsea's manager had to apologize for her comments on the pitch Liverpool use. It's horrible.

She's old and lumbering but they're pretty clueless. Garbage even. French are not all that either, I suppose it's typical for mid winter. edit- best thing about it is the French left side Katchowie! and Katoto! (sp)
