At this point I suspect he's working for the Chinese government. At one point he didn't post anything for a little over a month and i do believe he was talking with officials during that time. Then he started posting videos of how loving cool it is to be a Chinese dirt farmer. It's the perfect propaganda for us Westerners.
With that said, he's still cool as hell and keeps downing that booze like a boss.

Boomers are calming down? Can't have THAT.

So.

Coronavirus is like vampires, unable to stand much sun (and heat?), which is good. But now it has to have somewhere to hide.

Like, say, the plump body of a mosquito, which, coincidentally, is also a bloodsucker. And with the mildest winter to date ending and it basically being Spring already, there will be soooo many of them.

Now I'm not saying to hoard cans of OFF or anything, but maybe it wouldn't hurt to get the deets on some DEET.

Until then, two questions:

1. Can mosquito carry and pass on COVID-19?

2. If yes, does humanity have the capability to drive mosquitoes to extinction for the good of mankind?

3. If no, does humanity have the capability to drive mosquitoes to extinction because gently caress mosquitoes anyway I mean come ON people we don't even need those things and also

I think people have it in their mind expecting that people will be falling over dead on the streets like we were seeing in China and we haven't quite hit that point yet so it's "no big deal". We're only at 1700+ confirmed infections. Once we hit 50k+ I think the smug poo poo will be gone.

Yeah the next couple of weeks will be interesting. If we start filling hospitals with pneumonia cases then poo poo stays real...otherwise I guess its GG next map.

Not sure if joke post but afaik coronaviruses are not vector borne. Just direct contact, aerosol and fecal-oral. So we would expect this virus to be the same as other coronaviruses

Costco near me in Connecticut, the line into the parking lot stretched back about a half mile down the road and up a highway exit ramp.

Two minutes away was a Stop & Shop still stocked with almost everything except certain brands of toilet paper.

Still no plans to allow work from home or to shut anything down. Guess that makes sad sense. If we shut down many cars stop working.

Thankfully I have allergies and am sneezing up a storm so everyone is avoiding me even more than usual. Still kind of depressing being thought of as Patient 0. I was going to look into getting allergy shots this summer to get rid of 1 to 2 months of popping Benadryl and sneezing uncontrollably while occasionally trying to cough up a lung. Probably irresponsible to do that now.

I also have a couple of older people I know through church in my neighborhood I try to look after. Ironically they need it most but it is more dangerous for me to try to help. Gotta stick to texting.

Realized I was low on pet food and ordered a bunch of it. Hope nothing keeps it from getting here.
