Trying to get my Peacbringer binds set up and having no luck. Bind_load_file reports success but doesn't actually create any bindings. If I copy paste from the file into the game (with a preceding slash) it works. This has worked on other characters as recently as a few weeks ago. Did the latest update break something or am I having massive brain trauma.

Other than the goon channel, are there any especially helpful channels to join on Indom? I did manage to reserve a decent new name for my noir detective dude on Excelsior, at least, in case I do end up playing over there more for the higher activity. The Moonlight Mask doesn't quite have the same ring as the Scarlet Shadow and I'll need a new costume (all red and black doesn't really say "moonlight" to me) but it's still pretty okay, and I do like how the Dark Miasma Soul Noir effects look in blue

Both. I'm not into it right now but I know a guy who dabbles. I find text RP to be a lot more accessible than something like GTA which just uses voice chat. Just come up with a "voice" in your head, a few personality traits, let it grow organically. Just don't be one of those guys that's always trying to tell people his origin story, everybody hates that guy

I used to RP in MMOs (and MUDs) all the time but I haven't in a while--doing all my RP tabletop these days. But jumping in on CoH sounds like it could be a fairly good time.

I really only play on Everlasting and I do a ton of RP, the community's generally pretty good. Smaller but better quality than live CoH had, if you ever did any on Virtue there. And with the base code stuff there's a lot of places people can hang out beyond just hitting up Pocket D. I do also see some people RPing next to the Atlas statue's foot almost 24/7. But anywhere you go the quality's going to vary wildly, just because that's how RP goes in MMOs. I think there's more good RPers around than bad but it's all subjective. There's a lot of RP supergroups around but pretty much any that advertise via broadcast or global channels in-game are like, weird and gross. I think the Homecoming discord is probably a better place to go if you're looking for a more permanent sort of supergroup to hang with.
