Getting players who wont be the ones working under the contract for the majority of it to vote yes is such a owner win. Conniving fuckers

Average NFL Career is 3.3 years. The CBA is for 10 years.

Also worth noting that those one of those 5th round picks came from signing undrafted kicker Kaare Vedvik and then trading him to the Vikings

Ravens fans are really spoiled by going Ozzie -> DeCosta

Not basing a large part of your pre draft analysis on stupid as poo poo “character” interview questions will do that.

It's not like we haven't seen athletes with so called character issues flame out. It's actually pretty important to love the game above all else if you want to be successful. The issue is the way teams decide what are character issues. Honestly without face to face meetings they'll probably end up applying an even stricter standard

Shut up, it passed by 69 votes. That is now canon

It's less than what Lane Johnson got in his extension, but equal to what Trent Brown got in FA last year.

But money was never the issue, I'm just glad he decided to come back. Did not want to have to go OT in the first.

This is the purest example of creating a draft pick from nothing that I can think of.

Also, I don't know what a 5th rounder is worth anymore.

I know owners are evil but they needed this to negotiate TV contracts. Still you always vote no so you can get more money this vote was amazingly timed. I wonder if they extended the vote to get it to be a yes. The no probably voted first.

Way I read that contract with 62m guaranteed is that it’ll be 30m for the first two years and then the Titans can get out of it after that if needed. If he stays productive like he was last year, sounds alright to me?

feels like with these big qb deals we always say "well they can get out of it after X many years" and sure the cap savings isn't negative but the dead money is still like 20 million or more.
