My wife and kids were facetiming with her parents a little bit ago. My father-in-law, who as recently as two days ago, said this was all hype and overblown, told my wife, "Be careful when you go out on walks, some criminals might attack you! We're only 3 days away from martial law!". He apparently still thinks the virus is no big deal, but we need to worry about everyone panicking. Which, Jesus loving Christ, how can you be so blasé about a very real threat, but so worried about something that hasn't happened, shows no signs of happening, and very likely will not happen? We knew Fox News ate his brain a looooong time ago (he was on the Rush Limbaugh train back in the early 90's), but that's just so many kinds of stupid. In a related note, it seems like both my mom and MIL are taking things seriously, but neither my dad nor FIL are. Is anyone else seeing this?

It's not racist or inappropriate to draw attention to these things when the same government is attempting to claim it was planted or originated elsewhere.
