If it's pancakes with gravy or a cheese sauce you can just gently caress right off

Toad in the hole is essentially a very hearty sausage pancake. Unfortunately it is rarely made well - most of the time the batter is really dense and nasty.

Yeah, but like most restaurants they aren't all great. I'm in NC so I know about Denny's, IHOP and The Original Pancake House but that's all I can think of off the top of my head. Also I enjoy Marco's pizza and buy it with extra sauce every time. If you have a type of pizza you prefer, just enjoy that. Share it with your friends, try to keep it in perspective though, it's not the most dire situation that someone else wants a white pizza with olives sausage and pineapple. It's not your mouth, why are you so invested?

Taking a look at the menu of the local pancake restaurant they serve pancakes with: - ham/bacon/pepperoni and cheese - beef ragout (meat stew sauce) - mushrooms and cheese - pepperoni and cheese - pieces of small smoked sausages (tinier than a hotdog) - leek, tomato, cheese, oregano and herb butter - something literally called “Italian pancake”: mushrooms, Neapolitan sauce, pepperoni, cheese and Italian herbs Mierenneuker has a new favorite as of 18:02 on Mar 17, 2020 |

If you want a stack of pancakes to go alongside your crappy eggs and flabby bacon, there's any number of IHOPs and Dennys and Smittys that'll do that for you. Dutch-style pannenkoek restaurants are a lot thinner on the ground - there's been one in my city for decades, but, one.

The only funny thing about pizza in Japan is how stupidly loving expensive it is. A poo poo tier 12" Domino's pizza will cost you like $35 or something. The only up side is that the fancy places that do decent pizza with real mozzarella or whatever are often the same price or cheaper

Yeah, so as it turns out Italy and Japan are way ahead of the internet curve and have already come to terms with the fact that pizza is just a food and you can put whatever you want on it. We've been doing that with sandwiches forever, what makes pizza so special? Reese peanut butter cup burger, the KFC doubledown, there's that donut burger thing now. https://twitter.com/CerealBox64/status/1239868863304609792

Even people in Chicago don't call deep dish true Chicago pizza and say it is for tourists. Everybody wants to pretend that Chicago deep dish isn't the best pizza in the world and then they mention some snooty Neapolitan pizza with four squares of cheese that costs $58 and tastes like trash. I may be a tourist but I taste Lou Malnati's in my mouth and I say gently caress the world

I've had pizza in Italy. It was pretty good. Obviously better than your average chain pizza but not really massively so. It was still just a pizza. Sidenote it was in the North (Milano and Reggio Emilia) and I hear the real Italian Pizza is only found in the south so maybe it was poo poo by Italian standards.
