aaaaaaaaaaaaaaabsolutely. Though the cheapest store brand bleach we haven't isn't much better (it's 3% instead of 6%). Not that we've been getting any in though. It'll still disinfect... if you use it straight.

All we got last night was store brand and the splashless.

Most of the calculations for 1:32 dilution are based on 5-6%, but there are online calculators you can punch it in easily if you can't do the math. You do not need to use bleach straight!
Splash-less doesn't have any percent listed and is specifically "not for disinfection or sanitation"

I'm looking for an old video, I wanna say early 2000s. I *think* it was part of a Jackass episode, but I'm not sure. It's a guy who has a car (I wanna say a Neon) set up for jumping. He pulls it out of this industrial storage looking thing, races back and forth on some loading docks and jumps it, pulls it back in, and says something like "this never happened, scram!" (failing to sound tough at all.) I seem to remember him being a fatter guy with sunglasses, think Jack Black. The whole thing is less than a minute.

Does anyone know what the gently caress I'm on about?

I think I know the video, it was a Saturn that was "rally" prepped? I want to say it was on one of the mischief videos maybe? Pretty sure my buddy still has all those DVD's still, but I doubt I could sit through more than 5 minutes of those now.

I mean, there's still a very good chance it doesn't happen. If it does, then it's most likely going to be a token amount which doesn't actually save anybody, but perhaps delays the inevitable?

As for how it actually happens, who knows. At this point, it will probably be issued in return for a signed VBM ballot with Herr Drumpf indicated as the winner.

I contract for the government, and our company made a plan to go to minimum manning this morning. By the afternoon, the government reps said we couldn’t do it because of the way the contract is structured. We have appx. 120 workers in the office. We’re boned. Also, the contract was awarded in January so everybody has only 24 hours of leave.

In good news, I went grocery shopping and it was pretty much normal.

If it's actually home defense I recommend a small 20 gauge with a short stock and short barrel.
Handguns, especially larger calibers can penetrate walls easily so if your attacker is between, say, you and your kids bedroom you would be endangering their lives if you took a shot and missed.
Plus there's nothing quite like the sound of a pumping shotgun as a theft deterrent too.

I have a Remington 870 I got when I was 10 and I just pulled the plug so it can hold 5 rounds. It's a youth model so it does have a "full size" stock, but it's much smaller than an adult sized full size stock. That gun is well balanced, comes up quick, simple to use, and very reliable.
Plus it's a shotgun so it's like easy mode for hitting your target.

We have just been sent a medical alert that no one is to use anti inflammatories (eg I brufen, Voltarol, naproxen and there are others) for pain or high temperature. Use paracetamol instead. There seems to be a link between severe cases of covid19 affecting young people with no underlying illnesses and taking anti inflammatories. Initial reports started coming from French Drs on Friday. This has been confirmed by infectious diseases consultants here - there are 4 young people in ICU in Cork who have no underlying illnesses - all were taking anti inflammatories and there are concerns this has caused a more severe illness. We have been asked to spread the message. French tv and radio apparently broadcast the same warning today..

Back when I lived in El Paso, anytime there was flooding, you could go to Ft Bliss and load up on sandbags (obviously a long time ago, civvies haven't been allowed on base in ages).

A 1980 F-150 with the 351M with the bed full of sandbags is just as bad. Going downhill was downright scary, between trying not to cook the brakes, steer, and not lose it on the slick wet roads. Uphill was LOL since that engine was tired as hell (and a smog era engine anyway, it couldn't even 1 wheel peel with a brake stand when empty). Headlights were pointed at the sky when it was loaded like that, which didn't help 18-year-old-me's anxiety.

How much does an 8 ft bed full of sandbags weigh anyway?

e: I just googled, you can still get sandbags, but it's from the water utility now, and a limit of 10 sandbags per vehicle.

Serious adverse events related to the use of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) have been reported in patients with COVID19, possible or confirmed cases.
