I hate to keep posting about oil but it's now under $21 a barrel. This is just insane, but it's even more insane that it could logically go lower and stay lower for a long time.

The Dystopian ETF now includes: Amazon Boeing American Homes 4 Rent Invitation Homes Baidu Goldman Sachs JPMorganChase Walmart Comcast Exxon Chevron BlackRock Service Corp International (funerals) Sun Communities (trailer park REIT) Equity LifeStyle Properties (trailer park REIT) I couldn't find a popular private security company listed on a US exchange, but, maybe I missed some OTC stock? Anyone know of a private security stock? What other companies should be included in a hellworld dystopian nightmare portfolio?

Should have invested in supermarkets here in Belgium. The stocks of the largest chains in the country went up 20% over the last four days. Usually stocks in this country flatline most of the year.

Trying to figure out how to position myself for tomorrow, whether to buy call or puts on SPY. 1) If the whipsaw continues, we'll be up tomorrow. However, 2 weeks ago Wed/Thu were down and last week Thu/Fri were down. 2) NYC is likely to announce shelter in place based on what was reported yesterday. 3) Stimulus phase 2 will likely pass later today for free coronavirus testing and unemployment/emergency leavel/food stamps/Medicaid benefits. 4) Every day that has triggered a circuit breaker has been followed by an up day. Josh Lyman fucked around with this message at 19:09 on Mar 18, 2020 |

When you say "private security" you're not talking about ADT, I am guessing. The "private security" you're picturing doesn't do well under publicly-traded scrutiny. The closest thing might be KBR or Booz Allen Hamilton (BAH). You won't find Defion or GK Sierra on any exchange.

Yeah - those types of companies don't like transparency. I think for domestic "daylight" operations that KBR and BAH would step up. They already do a bit of it. I've seen KBR goons rolling alongside Fed Protective Services locally.

Seeing Bill Ackman's rant on CNBC today prompted me to look up his arch-enemy stock Herbalife. Up 2.3% today in the middle of a circuit breaker day and social isolation measures that should ruin them lmao. But seriously, gently caress MLMs, I hope they are outlawed someday.
