Coming to the slow realisation that the entire game is you turning your human can opener act on yourself in order to solve the mystery of who you are is a great thing, and this is definitely a game that I keep thinking about long after I've completed it.

They've said they'd like to do one, along with DLC for Disco. Nothing concrete beyond that afaik

Yeah - I stayed clean because it seemed on brand for my cop Kim noted that I had gone more then a week without drinking or doing drugs on the job and the patrol officer was amazed while Vicquemarque was a salty bitch and said something along the lines of "He's gone clean for a week before, he'll lapse again" :colbert:

I feel like they could build an entirely new game using the same engine and game system with new plot and characters, maybe even a setting.

So this is some socially-excluded quarantine brain speaking, but has anyone else noticed how Disco Elysium and Detective Pikachu have major similarities? Both feature an amnesiac supercop named Harry who is trying to discover secrets about himself to heal an emotional rift with a close loved one; a more sober-minded partner who is frequently exasperated by the antics of the primary investigator; AND OF COURSE cryptids. I'm trying to reconcile the governmental systems from both fictions but it seems like the ultraliberals and moralists rule the Pokemon universe. Anyway what kind of pokemon would the characters from DE have with them?

What was everyone's favourite moment in the game? Excluding the ending, karaoke and the dance off, as those are easy answers!

Mine is Kim's exasperation at Harry being right about there being something special about that shipping container. Imagining what's going through his head is very amusing.

Favorite success: Staring Down Evrart. The whole 'boss' encounter is pretty drat great
Favorite Failure: Sandwich Revolution
Favorite kim moment: Acquiring spiffy new jackets
Favorite ongoing Gag: Contact Mike.

Definitely Kim bailing me out at the end of the first day, selling the sweet hubcaps to get the money. Also chilling with Kim on the swings waiting for the ice to thaw on the car. Basically any time you get into stuff with Kim.

A part that hit me hard was the resolution of the first part of the cryptid stuff, Lena worrying that the thing she thinks her marriage is based around might be a lie struck a chord with me as well. She gave me a green ape pen so I was obviously very invested in trying to make her happy.

In my play through, Harry being so confused about why he couldn't stop thinking about the smoker on the balcony and how good he smelled, then desperately asking Kim to help him figure it out while Kim is somehow keeping himself from busting out laughing at Harry's plight.
