Coming to the slow realisation that the entire game is you turning your human can opener act on yourself in order to solve the mystery of who you are is a great thing, and this is definitely a game that I keep thinking about long after I've completed it.

So this is some socially-excluded quarantine brain speaking, but has anyone else noticed how Disco Elysium and Detective Pikachu have major similarities? Both feature an amnesiac supercop named Harry who is trying to discover secrets about himself to heal an emotional rift with a close loved one; a more sober-minded partner who is frequently exasperated by the antics of the primary investigator; AND OF COURSE cryptids. I'm trying to reconcile the governmental systems from both fictions but it seems like the ultraliberals and moralists rule the Pokemon universe. Anyway what kind of pokemon would the characters from DE have with them?

What was everyone's favourite moment in the game? Excluding the ending, karaoke and the dance off, as those are easy answers! Mine is Kim's exasperation at Harry being right about there being something special about that shipping container. Imagining what's going through his head is very amusing.

A part that hit me hard was the resolution of the first part of the cryptid stuff, Lena worrying that the thing she thinks her marriage is based around might be a lie struck a chord with me as well. In my play through, Harry being so confused about why he couldn't stop thinking about the smoker on the balcony and how good he smelled, then desperately asking Kim to help him figure it out while Kim is somehow keeping himself from busting out laughing at Harry's plight.
