Speaking of Apollo astronauts, Mike Collins is on Twitter and Facebook and he's a pro-follow. He was the Apollo 11 Command Module Pilot. He's sharp, funny and a complete nerd. I'm pretty sure he runs his own accounts as well.

Did you know they have 2 million Spotify listeners and 2.6 million Pandora listeners? They are also eager to let you know they make more money in any given weekend than you will in your whole life, apparently.

I'd be surprised if that era of rock didn't produce a majority of maga bands as well as listeners.

Most of it, yeah.

Socialburn was pretty cool. They ate poo poo around 2008 though. I'm sure they're maga folk now though.

Stroke 9 was more my jam. Lots of mellow, closer to Everclear in musical territory than Trapt. Trapt tended to lean on the Ozzfest and Korn crowds, like limp bizkit but not quite as lovely, nowhere near Nickelback fame or sales. I easily confuse Trapt for other meh acts of the time. I think Headstrong was their only national "hit", even hoobastank outsold them.

Some of it was okay. I turned 18 in 2000, so I spent way too much time listening to poo poo like Disturbed, Manson (until holywood, nothing since), and anything else that was just angry people yelling into microphones. Slipknot and their kind were a bit more than I cared for, so I didn't get in too deep to nu metal. I stuck to some weird bands for a while, hence Stroke 9. Also 8stops7.

Stroke 9 was good, man. Not really nu metal at all, more like, southern California radio trash, like Dexter Freebish or Jimmy Eat World.

Yeah. Managed to see them in concert once, good show.

Somehow Cowboy Mouth managed to catch my attention in 2000. They had precisely one hit, back in like 1995, called Jenny Says. I pretty much bought their discography over the years. A lot of their albums are recycling songs from previous albums, but they put on loving amazing live shows. Fred LeBlanc (drummer/singer) just goes apeshit about having fun and they're always at the top of my list for best live shows I've seen.

Seen them a bunch live because I lived in Louisiana during the 90s / early 2000s and yeah they were good live. They also had another pretty big hit in like 99 or something idk.

Easy. Off the album, Easy. Yeah, they kept it simple. It clung to the top 100 for a few weeks before fading back into obscurity. They covered the song "China" on that album, but it's not really a cover because John Thomas Griffith was also in the Red Rockers when it was originally their song back even earlier.

I absolutely love cowboy mouth to death.

I never really got into punk or much down that road. DKM didn't come into my life until I was stationed in Korea and I was much more into Anti-flag anyhow. I've taken to Days n Daze lately, crust punk is refreshing.

Yeah, that might have spun up the charts too, but I never heard it on Nashville radio at the time. How do you tell someone was on, like, five albums now. It definitely was on Easy, but I remember it being on an earlier album or three by that point.
