I'm reading Red and it's real good, I can't believe I'm already halfway through with it... it's not perfect but it has a lot of heart and good art which is enough to make me love something.

Shuumatsu no Valkyrie, the end of Jack vs. Hercules. I only saw two outcomes to this fight, either Jack fought in such an ugly way that Hercules lost his love of humans or Hercules would lose. I think I'm happier with what they chose. RIP Hercules, lotta weirdness with that unanimous vote but I'll give you the benefit of the doubt.

I'm not going to lie, that ending got me pretty good. Kind of a reverse Adam going on, where instead of fighting to his very last breath, Hercules chooses to spend his last moments embracing Jack as a gesture of love for humanity. This manga's bold-faced sincerity is one of its greatest strengths.
