Also, I don't get the Nounverb Verbnouner naming standard GW is going for these days. High Elves are now Transcendent Over-Aelves? For trademark reasons? Okay, but now the third party kit manufacturers are just gonna call their stuff High Elves, and everyone will understand what the gently caress they mean.

For real though I love how onslaught miniatures doesn't make just a Space Marine or Sisters of Battle knockoff, but combines them into one. They look like Sisters but they can do Marine poo poo like ride motorcycles.

The obsession that the special names would somehow stop third party model makers from having compatible kits was the lunacy of the old CEO and regime. I'd suspect more of it here is to make their IP sound more unique for licensing in movies, shows, and games. Not that that makes all the names good, but GW seems to have finally realized that licensing stuff makes them good money, and that's taken up more of their annual reports in recent years.
