When you invite a villager to your town from the other-island, that villager then comes to your town the next day, you get them to agree to come, you do some things for Tom Nook (bridge and ladder stuff) then they're a villager the next day, right? Is that how it goes or should Tom Nook be giving me tasks to do before I ever invite someone over?

You can have a High Noon duel with the tarantulas if you slowly approach them from the front with your net ready. They'll raise their front legs and charge when you get close enough; swing your net immediately and you'll get them. loving wasps are a much bigger problem for me because if you don't have your net equipped when you shake their tree you're basically hosed

I think you have to look at both the river and the topogrophy. Its just the ghost's face, so the two highest circular peaks are the eyes, with the river forming the irises, the tears, and the lower lip of the ghost's open mouth.

Is there a fast way to switch between pole / net like the non leader can in local multi? buy the tool ring with nook miles at the machine at the bottom right of nook's tent, then you press up on the d-pad and you'll bring up a wheel of all the tools in your inventory alternatively you can press left/right on the d-pad to cycle through without buying the ring but that's slower when you have most of your tools
