I don’t get how you could’ve been so optimistic in 2020 as to believe that AI would end up otherwise.

The "generate nudes of this person" thing already cropped up months ago, and yeah it's pretty hosed up. At least with this thing it's not real people, I guess.

Nope, haven't worked with procedural map generation that much lately. I've never tried these "spawn rooms which then push each other out of the way" generation algorithms but they look really neat when visualized (I think at least Nethack uses this method for room placement?)

This is one I made a couple years ago, though:

The little I know about british politics makes me think this isn't far from reality:

Theresa May is a 'c***' and a 'dickhead' - but one of the 'most competent' Conservative MPs in parliament is a 'nasty oval office'.

SubSimulatorGPT2 posted:

"He is a oval office. All this is coming from the oval office that is Theresa May," he continued.

"She is a oval office, she is an absolute oval office and a nasty oval office. There are other cunts that wouldn't even do that."

Lord (Ken) Clarke, the former chancellor, was widely respected by colleagues during his time in parliament, but found himself in the spotlight recently after he retweeted a tweet which accused Mr Corbyn of being a "cockmonster".

On another occasion, he added: "The fact that Corbyn is a dickhead is a fact".

The MP for Oldham East and Saddleworth has been accused of being a bully and sexist and has been suspended from the Labour Party

Mr Clarke was also fined £500 by the party for breaching rule 10 in a tweet about the party chair, Angela Eagle, in September last year.

In October, Lord (David) Blunkett, the former Home Secretary, said Lord (Chris) Grayling was "absolutely monstrous" and "a oval office".

The Liberal Democrats have called for Lord (John) Redwood to be expelled from the House of Lords for using abusive language during a parliamentary debate in June.

The Liberal Democrat peer, Lord (Peter) Tomlin, who was one of Lord (Ken) Clarke's most senior allies in parliament, also said this month that Mr Clarke should "get the sack".

The Labour peer said on Wednesday: "His behaviour is totally unacceptable. I don't think I need to say more."

"I don't think he's a oval office. The only thing I have a problem with is him using that language," he added.

Labour sources have said they believe Lord (John) Bercow, the Speaker, "must act swiftly" to take action over Mr Clarke's behaviour.

One Labour MP said: "He is a oval office, a nasty oval office and a dickhead.

"But he is also a highly competent politician and I think he's a good MP.

"I have no problem with him as a man."

Another Labour MP said: "If the speaker can't do anything, we need to sack him.

"As it is, he is an embarrassment"

While trying to find a non-android stream of Mubert, I found instead this article that speculates some on how it works:

which is written by Alex Bainter who has a website that also creates music where you can select a bunch of "genres":

Ooh, interesting! I know enough to mean "machine learning" when I say AI in this context, but should've phrased it better. Anyway it's rad, the fact that you can upload samples yourself and (supposedly) get paid is also rad.

It's like I'm reading Brian Eno from the 90s talking about how generative music lasts longer than the sum of its samples runtime again. Machine learning isn't running in circles, but investor storytime definitely is.

I mean, it's true, obviously. That doesn't make it somehow superior to human-made music though. But it's real good for getting a focus-conducive sound blanket going on in my workspace for sure.
