I think that Bernie just came too early. The public sentiment is shifting and it just sucks that many European nation's figured out the balance between capitalism and a strong social safety net 50 years before us. Why should young people vote for Biden over Trump? So loving DNC careerists can get back after four years? Almost every single country, minus SK and Taiwan failed in response. This is not Trump's fault.

Literally nobody has said that Bernie is flawless. You're not going to convince people that Joe Biden doesn't suck by saying that Bernie sucks in some ways too.

Biden is a candidate with a number of flaws but he's not "lovely," and neither was Bernie. Both had substantial strengths and weaknesses with voters of every demographic, and it is (imo) impossible to say who would have done better in the general election. shouting "no, your preferred candidate is garbage!" is not going to convince anyone of anything

I would say in 2020 when people are still going bankrupt due to medical bills or freaking out because they have no medical coverage, the guy whose plan for healthcare is "middle class people get a tax break on their premiums and if M4A shows up on my desk I'll veto it instantly cause we ain't got the money for that" is pretty lovely But you know he'll reach across the aisle and get stuff done like:

I don't particularly care for either Bernie or Biden, but I think that the evidence from the primaries is that of all the Democratic candidates this year, Biden has the best shot against Trump. He has the support of the Democratic base and he showed the strongest among white blue collar voters who were they key to Trump's victory. Biden might lose, but if he does I don't think anyone would have won.
