I didn’t compare scene by scene, but far as I can tell, the clips are all legitimate. It’s true that anyone looks a little dumb if all their “uh” and “ums” are cut together, and the satellite delay doesn’t help, but in my view Biden is on another level. Forget for a moment the whispers of “mental decline” coming from the left and right for months. They’re not important. What mattered is that he was lucid enough at the debate. At the time of the debate, I thought that Biden has sewn up the nomination. I didn’t like it, but I didn’t attribute it to any great conspiracy. Biden had deeper relationships within the party, and that can’t hurt, but ultimately it was Bernie’s primary to lose, and lose he did. If he couldn’t drive the turnout he needed to win, that was on him. If Biden can go, in a matter of days, from not having campaign offices to winning states, and winning even states that Bernie had taken from Clinton, that’s pretty compelling. Biden wasn’t my first choice, but I have to respect anyone with that kind of electoral power. Then, just as quickly as Biden turned around the primary, SARS‐CoV‐2 upended everything. I didn’t see the full force of this pandemic coming. Very nearly no one in power did. I want to believe that if I had gotten the same briefings they did, I would have believed it could happen here, but I’ll never know. My view is that this crisis broke him. Lesser crises have broken greater men. I don’t care to speculate if he was all right before. He isn’t now.

Speaking as a non-American, the way you've been handling the pandemic, there's a non- zero chance you're going to have to postpone the election. And yeah, this is exactly the kind of situation where believing the woman might be being weaponized against you, but I'm still doing so, until and unless more information comes out. I'd still go vote for the lesser rapist, because that's how your political system works, Trump is just that bad, and even in believing her, I can recognize and hope that I might be wrong. You win elections not by convincing people on the other side to vote for you, but by convincing them to stay at home, and I'll be damned before I do that. But I'm glad I'm not the one who has to make that choice. But with all that considered, Biden isn't locked in as a candidate yet. The time to raise some noise, demand answers and further investigation is now. Once he's the official Democratic candidate, further confirmation of the accusation might well be enough to give the world four more years of Trump.

I think if you vote against Biden (assuming he’s the nominee) then you have no right to complain about Trump, because you helped put him there, and you knew exactly what you were getting.

Oh fun, charlotte just went into stay at home orders from 8am today until mid april because the county has 25% of the cases in the state. My wife's entire industry is nuked by the pandemic. Hairstylists/ barbers, nail techs, massage therapists, aestheticians, etc are all unable to work, but not necessarily out of a job. The Nebraska licensing board basically directed them all to file unemployment for the duration of the state of emergency. Pretty rich because personal services are always touted as "recession proof" careers. I wonder how high that number will get, seeing as how the last decade has seen the service industry outright explode in job numbers.
