I hope you goons are screencapping all these tweets. When the poo poo breaks the fan down and we're losing 675,000 a day (vast majority being chud boomers and PoC boomers too), you can be 100% sure that every single chud thus presented will suddenly claim that they were always for preventative measures and it was the libs' fault for not seeking solutions hard enough or even that it was the "radical left" (i.e. Pelosicrats) who were telling everyone that the economy was more important than saving lives.

And that's when they're not trying to spin it into "there's nothing wrong, go back to sleep."

I'm warning you lot. In a month or two, none of those tweets will still be up, so get 'em while you can.

this is a bullshit line of thinking, stop making yourself feel worse for no reason. if someone dies from covid-like or even flu-like symptoms at this point in time, its going to be considered a likely covid case and reflected as such in the statistics. if you think there's going to be so many bodies that itll be hard to make that assessment, then its going to be even easier to count related deaths because what the gently caress else would be killing all these people. its very easy for cases to be unreported when the majority of people recover without any complications. this does not hold true for deaths.

From CNN Health's Jacqueline Howard
The coronavirus pandemic may not go away in just a few weeks or so, Dr. Ashish Jha, director of the Harvard Global Health Institute, said during a Facebook Live Q&A on Thursday.

"This is not a virus that goes away in two weeks or four weeks or six weeks. We are going to be living with this, in one form or another, for 12 to 18 months if we are lucky," Jha said, referring to how long some health officials have predicted it would take to develop a vaccine.

I had an example of that: Guy comes in with respiratory distress and dies in ER, there aren’t enough tests to test the dead right now so he won’t be classified as corona although he probably was. Also when EMS calls me to pronounce people found dead on scene there’s no testing done for any of that.

This morning as I'm making coffee my roommate (I live in Brooklyn, have been isolating for nearly 3 weeks) tells me that his girlfriend's roommate tested positive for COVID. I'm super groggy and having trouble processing anything but I say some dumb poo poo like "drat dude that's crazy", assuming the unspoken conclusion of the story is that he won't get to see his gf for awhile.

45 minutes later I'm on a video conference call and who do I hear walk in but my roommate's girlfriend! My other roommate and I then had to have a very uncomfortable confrontation to basically say we didn't think the gf should be here.

Two questions goons: 1) did we do the right thing by kicking her out or were we needlessly paranoid/cruel. 2) I was already trying to basically behave as though I have it, but should we double down now that we've had this exposure? Like stop going to the store and such?

most people who are making the assumption that we should sacrifice lives at the altar of Number are generally making that assumption based on their own conception of the pandemic, which is usually 'its just a flu.' they think we're going to crash the economy to save like 200 people or something like that. they arent necessarily malicious actors, theyre just stupid.

social isolation means, in general, you should limit contacts with everyone outside of your living arrangement as much as humanly possible.

You should time grocery store trips to low population and wash your loving hands after you get home. you should also try to go no more than every week, and realistically a monthly trip is best.

you come in here a lot arguing things are bullshit with little evidence. the scenario i described is already happening. ask any ER doc. hell, ask any resident in a hot zone, they're basically all COVID all the time now. the published figures for individual jurisdictions are already public, and people in those jurisdictions are already saying "these figures are bullshit."
https://www.buzzfeednews.com/article/nidhiprakash/coronavirus-update-dead-covid19-doctors-hospitals

the statistics only include deaths who tested positive for COVID. you can claim the opposite is true without any evidence, but you're an idiot for doing so.
