One of the deep dive articles into the Chargers move went into how the other owners figured Spanos would figure something out with San Diego and never take the LA deal since being the 2nd tier team in LA would just be a drawn out humiliation. Hohoho they were wrong he really wanted that cheap rent.

On the bright side when the Chargers"s" new stadium opens they can just sell the same # of tickets as the old one and there will be few enough fans they'll be able to practice social distancing.

LA actively didn't want the Chargers. Vegas wanted a team no matter who it was. And a lot more San Diegans would have followed the Vegas Chargers because it wasn't Los Angeles
