a neat cape posted:The chargers sell out every game. Tampa sells over 2x more tickets. Looks like LAC has 117% capacity but a purchase rate of 38% so basically tons of freebies from businesses I’m guessing. But then again the LAC thing is completely one off and Spanos is a moron etc but phew is that franchise spiraling -outside of the football field

One of the deep dive articles into the Chargers move went into how the other owners figured Spanos would figure something out with San Diego and never take the LA deal since being the 2nd tier team in LA would just be a drawn out humiliation. Hohoho they were wrong he really wanted that cheap rent.

On the bright side when the Chargers"s" new stadium opens they can just sell the same # of tickets as the old one and there will be few enough fans they'll be able to practice social distancing.

i think the chargers can probably manage a 45k average now that they're using a real stadium just like the cincinnati bengals

I cannot wait for the hype train and then TB will go 8-8 with Brady as it is revealed his power came from Bill in NE and the Patriots go 11-5 and make it to the post season.

LA actively didn't want the Chargers. Vegas wanted a team no matter who it was. And a lot more San Diegans would have followed the Vegas Chargers because it wasn't Los Angeles

Pats are going to be bad cause they have no QB, an old offense and no money. Bill is going to show the rest of the league how you really tank.

Bill saw which way the Coronavirus winds were blowing in January and structured his roster to be in cap crunch this year, a year that won’t be played, and then to have a 100 mil free the next year. 5th dimensional chess.

They're built to tank but yeah I think Belichick will lead them to a better record than people expect, even with no quarterback. Doesn't mean I think they'll be good of course, just less bad than they should be.

I'm assuming Bill will get coronavirus and spend this season self isolating in Maui with a coterie of blonde nurses, and will return in triumph to draft Trevor Lawrence and sign Bernard Pollard.

Doctor Teeth posted:The texans tried that against the chiefs in that shutout playoff loss. They had JJ Watt come in on offense. It uh...didn't work. Eric Berry made the stop i think. Part of the problem was they made it extremely obvious to literally everyone by having JJ at RB and Wilfork at FB Lined them up in an offset I then had JJ try to score through the A gap and it was just a huge pileup of bodies with no hole whatsoever Intruder fucked around with this message at 22:39 on Mar 29, 2020 |
