It should be the opposite. Don’t support a system that refuses to protect those that the system depends on. PPE for medics, armor for soldiers, healthcare and housing for workers. Anything less is immoral, especially if the free market is involved. The free market will never provide for this unless ordered to.

All of the other countries that are hard hit, you see the medical staff wearing proper gear or at least as close to it as possible. Here the hospitals are going by CDC directives and NOT allowing protective gear because 'there is no proof it can be transmitted that way'. Blows my loving mind. My wife had to bring her own god damned PPE to work in the ICU. Her manager tried to give her poo poo about it and she told her to gently caress right off.

VA just called me. I have an appt on April 8 but the woman said the hospital has active cases of covid so they’re going to be doing phonecalls instead. If you’ve ever been to the overcrowded zoo that is the DC VA, you know how scary just one active case is for that place.
