You could make a bioweapon with flies by putting a ton of flies in a room with infected people who are coughing all over food that the flies are also eating and then release the flies.

Meanwhile in the SF Bay area -- I work at Sutter Delta in Antioch and can say as well that the ER has been incredibly slow. Lots of us are being sent home early because there's no patients to see. It's been quite boring the past few weeks to be honest. Because people are staying at home, they're also not getting injured as frequently such as lacerations, broken bones, car accidents, etc. It's shocking how little "emergencies" there actually are when people don't use the ER as a 24 hour clinic.

I wish I worked in any other department of the city so I'd get paid to stay home this month. Instead let's put several people in a work truck and go landscape some bullshit.

The 18 month number was a "lol this is the absolute and utter fastest mad max timeline for maybe having something usable". Usually this poo poo takes 4-7 years.

how come mosquitos aren't vectors for HIV, i've always wondered? some blood from a person with HIV could be transfered into the blood of another person?

Mox Hombre posted:how come mosquitos aren't vectors for HIV, i've always wondered? some blood from a person with HIV could be transfered into the blood of another person? When mosquitos act as a vector, it’s not because they backwash. It’s because the pathogen is capable of moving through the mosquito’s body and into its salivary glands. HIV is not capable of this trick.
