The only time i've ever bothered to get a cop (when i was 17 and naive), they just rolled by and laughed as my neighbor cut my tires and threatened to do more. I have been *checks my notes* threatened to be evicted by a police officer bc he didnt like me tho

Cops have to deal with everything that is wrong, broken and stupid on society, sometimes withouth the ability to fix it. They see families where the man mistreat his wife, and the wife calls the cop, the cops come and the wife don't want to proceed, because she still love his partner. I am not cop, and I am happy I don't have to deal with a poo poo-sandwitch job like that. I am a computer programmer and slowly going crazy every day, but I don't have to look at humans too much. You have it all backwards, actually. Cops don't become "bad" because of the poo poo they're exposed to on a daily basis. Most people who want to become cops in the first place are sociopaths/psychopaths who crave being in a position of power and want to abuse others. American police will shoot unarmed black men in the back, beat them to death, and rape women they pull over for traffic stops. You're sweet and naive and I understand that you're not American. Like it's lucky we kept our antiquated fax machine for the few dinosaur customers who would fax orders over or the one old guy who kept calling it to place his orders. A HMRC contact, the loving UK government agency tasked with dealing with the countries customs and revenue, was only contactable by antique technology. These sorts of groups trying to quickly smash together an app to deal with this will be hilarious
