There is no way that every single person who works in our building wont' get it. And the larger majority of contractors are 55+. It's hard to imagine what the casualties will be, but there will be some. How the government who already can't hire competent people does when a quarter of their contracting work force dies, retires, or is forced to limit their work for health reasons deals with this i do not know.

If we don't, then everyone will be exposed in the matter of a few months and then things can go back to normal*. *untold millions will die and this is assuming reinfection is not possible or that it mutates slowly or that the feral cat population doesn't become a permanent reservoir/mutation hotbed to continually reinfect humans for eternity.

I don’t know of any local coroners doing autopsies on anyone right now so the cause of death is just whatever the pronouncing doctor’s best guess is. Even worse is the calls you get from EMS over the phone for a death in the field, you just put cardiac or pulmonary arrest for those.

my wife now feels it necessary to set up a separate bedroom for her to sleep in for fear of coughing on me in our sleep. neither of us are symptomatic but given her copious exposure to it in the ER she doesnt want to make me sick if she can help it
