There seems to be some push in this set. I've always thought these "add all colours of mana" cards were hilarious because they open the door to putting whatever spells I want to in my deck considering they use only one of whatever other colour.

A 1/2 for 3 that fixed your mana in a splash-happy format and turned on all your Historic triggers was amazing. Who knows how relevant Surveyor Pupper will be in this format

Having it find your land so you can curve out and mutate on it seems like a strong play to me.

If there's one thing goons hate, it's overexplained flavour text. Especially the overexplained flavour text on Ancient Grudge, the card this post is referencing.

Goons have created unrealistic expectations for flavor text, so it is a disappointment beyond imagining, a boredom beyond description, that it falls upon them to read terrible flavor text forever.

The funny thing is, without that clarification, we wouldn't know what Avacyn's collar even is, because the card Avacyn's Collar came out in the next set. Those two are the only cards that give Avacyn's symbol a name, in fact. No I hate expression meaning flavor text because it's always stilted as gently caress, the flavor text has to spell it out exactly as an aspect of its format, and the expressions are always stupid and unnatural sounding, and the only one close to working is Dead Drop but only if you imagine the Sultai speak like 1920s gangster stereotypes. Which might be an improvement actually. InterrupterJones posted:Goons have created unrealistic expectations for flavor text, so it is a disappointment beyond imagining, a boredom beyond description, that it falls upon them to read terrible flavor text forever. I just want more last words flavor text. It's a goddamn shame there's more Expression Meaning than Last Words. Gorgon's Head is perfect.

Here's a dumb rules question: does mutating work both ways? Like, I mutate Necropanther for 4 mana onto a valid creature, and tuck Necropanther under. So now I have a creature with the first's P/T and Necropanther's ability, which triggers. When I mutate onto the same creature again, do I get to Necropanther trigger again, regardless of if the second mutate ends up on top or underneath?
