My choices in Mass are gonna be Hawkins or write in Bernie*.

Bernie won't be counted but I'm kinda sick of voting for the Greens who don't ever manage to go on to do anything and never try to have a presence anywhere on a ballot but at the Presidential level. Not thrilled with their cozying up to antivaxxers in 2016 either.

I hadn't ever seen anything except that she decries the fda and cdc as being relatively powerless, underfunded and nearly completely ruled by corporate interests. As she's also a practicing physician, it seems like if there were truth to the antivaxxer smears, she could have probably had her medical license at least investigated. Considering the hate she receives by true blue types, it would have probably happened.

The Green Party fuckin loves downballot races and most of the active membership regard the presidential races as an unfortunate, resource-guzzling neccesity that they have to do because A) it is basically a prereq for ballot access in many states, and B) there is nothing in the universe the media ignores harder than third-party candidates in local elections. All Green Party leaders are acutely aware that the party's biggest window for media exposure comes from the quadrennial ritual of the MSM blaming 8,000 random voters in some swing state for the entire election, and one of the most heated debates within the party is whether to abandon swing states or whether they should engage in electoral college hostage-taking to force the Dems to adopt one lefty thing ever.

Also I'm about as anti-Jill Stein as it possible for a GP organizer to be (she is a cool activist but has terrible political instincts), but the anti-vaxx thing and "crystal power" poo poo are 100% liberal smears.

If they end up nominating an actual socialist, that'll be a pretty strong incentive for me to give them my third party vote (assuming the candidate clears the theoretically low bar of "not a rapist"). I'd love for somebody to get 5%+ running on a socialist platform.
