I enjoyed animal crossing when I had buttloads of free time but it doesn't seem remotely compelling anymore, I'm not about my hobbies dictating my schedule. Kinda reminds me of when we used to watch TV shows during specific timeslots (some people still do that believe it or not!!)

I want to point out that my only other gripe is that all my villagers are weird girraffes and horses and I although I want cuter villagers I can't bear to force them to move out.

Its a great fun game that I love but it always takes Nintendo a super long time to admit the thing they made isn't only going to be enjoyed in the specific way it was intended and its good actually to accomodate multiple types of play in there games. Ok, I've only beaten Vah Ruta and of course I have the Zora suit, but I don't understand how this is true. From what I've heard, the ability from Vah Medoh is WAY more useful than being able to swim up waterfalls. What am I missing?

Useful perhaps but like I said the jump just gets you a small distance higher a bit faster, there's no situation where it's necessary to get somewhere you couldn't otherwise climb. Going up waterfalls on the other hand can sometimes take you straight up otherwise unscaleable barriers. Moving around Zora's domain would be a huge twat without the Zora suit but there's nowhere in the game not having Van Medoh's ability hinders you so much.

Yeah I liked the FFT Advance games, and those were really really different in story and tone.

But I do wanna look at it a bit more - I don’t really just want a copy of FF Tactics that feels “cheap” if that makes sense? Lots of indie revivals of older series miss the mark

Aesthetically it does feel a bit cheap but the gameplay is very well executed. I would much rather replay Fell Seal than any of the FFT/FFTA games.

My kid wants to play Skyrim but she has a supervised account and Nintendo won't let me download it for her account. If I buy the dumb cartridge will she be able to play it? I googled but all I can find is other kids mad they can't see and download games on their Switch. Maybe I am a terrible parent but Skyrim seems pretty tame, so what gives?

I wouldn't really recommend it, though. The motion sensing is way too sensitive and you could honestly get just as good a workout from watching a video.

If you don't mind doing something even dumber than fake boxing to a videogame, Just Dance is a pretty good workout with competitive multi-player. I pay $5 a month to access their library which enables you to actually put together a playlist you can stomach (my kid likes it and the included songs began to drive me nuts). It's on sale.

Skyrim is already on there but won't let her play? If so that's because her account doesn't own the rights and it is only a secondary switch for your account.

On your main switch any account can play games you own, on any other switch only your account can play games you own.

I put my main account on my child's switch and made my switch the secondary. That way he can play all my games on his account. I can play all my games at the same time in my own account even, I just have to have an internet connection

Neither of us owns it on Switch yet. I went to buy it under her account and it won't let me even look at it because she is a "supervised" (under 12) account.

I am more than willing to buy a physical copy, I am just afraid Nintendo won't let her account play it even then. Apparently there are age restrictions I did not know about. We keep a good eye on what she plays in general; I just didn't know having her account show she is under 12 or 13 would exclude her from content that I approve. She has no means to buy any games herself, so this extra hurdle is very odd to me.

We have run across the main account/subs not able to play thing before with MarioKart and she just plays under my account. I have very little interest in replaying Skyrim, so I hoped I could just get it for her account and not worry about who is playing what when.

I played with a controller on PC. I'm weird like that. Hotline 1 is amazing. Hotline 2 has many new wrinkles, and some annoyances. Levels are too big, too many windows to be sniped from, etc. But the music is bangin' as always, and I enjoyed (almost) everything about it. Slightly less amazing than the first one, because you can't catch lightning in a bottle twice.

I feel like I'm missing something in Animal Crossing. My island started out with cherries, I got apples in the mail, and I found peaches on the first Nook Ticket I took. I've gone on like 15 Mystery Tours since then and all I keep getting are islands with cherries and occasionally one with peaches. Aside from visiting someone else's island or getting a new fruit from a villager, are there any requirements that I need to fulfill before something new will appear?

You can only ever get two fruits from nook tickets, your native fruit and one other fruit, and every foreign fruit island will have the same foreign fruit. You're pretty much forced to trade if you want to get them all
