Honestly the carbs in my 1200 weren’t horrible. It has the most free space for moving carbs around of any bike I’ve owned

There's an Old Wing available near me for 500 bucks; problem is I have no idea if I'd be able to get it on my trailer. Also, off my trailer. For some reason that scares me even more.

I sold my SV650 back in august, now that im stuck home i want a bike again espec. with the reduced traffic. There's a overstock 2019 KLX250s for $4800, i got the dealer to agree to $5k flat after fees and taxes. I'm on the fence though. For one, it's gonna be a slower bike, obviously. Though I have always wanted a dual sport and something to hoon around on. Is it gonna hurt trying to take this thing up a hill? I live in a kind of hilly area and one of my favorite roads to ride on has a spiral-type turn where the road has a pretty decent incline while turning to the left. It was so much fun on my 650 and im worried it'll feel like poo poo to do it on the 250 if I pull the trigger. I liked the torqueness of the SV650 same as every other sv owner did on the planet, im assuming the 250 won't pull as much in that satisfying way tl;dr someone convince me that buying a KLX250 to social distance with is a good idea There's also a craigslist one with literally 110 loving miles, a yoshi exhaust, and a fender eliminator for $4800. I mean, I'd pay 3-4k out of pocket for a WR250r/x before a klx250, bit the kawi will be fine for what you need it for. Riding the wrx flat out on long uphill twisties, losing the rear in corners, and generally donging it up, was some of the best fun I ever had on a motorcycle. 250cc is plenty for uphills, and will let you hit dirt which is where the real fun begins.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the 2018+ KLX is FI which does bring it a little closer to the WR. The WR will always be the better bike, but always going to be much more money. I'm planning on getting an MT-03 or Z400 after this pandemic stuff is over, but these prices on used bikes are gettying pretty crazy. This 2011 XR1200X just popped up for $4500, and I'm tempted to grab it.

Is this the right thread to request a used bike goon inspection? I've been looking for the same bike my dad had when I was a kid and one popped up in Highland, NY (12528) but I'm in California and if I buy it will have it shipped to my parents house in Minnesota to restore over time. I just want to get impartial eyes on it before I pull the trigger.
