Home Depot was so busy yesterday (a frigging Thursday) that they had to make everyone wait outside while people left the store. And there’s a Lowe’s right across the street from it so even more surprising.

(before you ask, our place is being sold by our landlord, so we have to move and needed supplies)

No, people didn't know how bad he was. Yes, he was unorthodox, screamed a lot, but how bad could it be? Get rid of some career politicians and bring is some street smarts. Put the average Joe first. Some tougher policies against immigrants would be nice.

Well, turns out he made a complete mess out of everything. So bad, nobody predicted. And the GOP let him get away with it, as long as he kept nominating their judges.

Polling shows that a majority of voters, including a majority of Dems, believe Trump will win. Just like prior to the 2018 midterms a majority of voters, including Dems, believed that Republicans would hold the House.

That’s a good thing.

Being that most of these people pride themselves on being “deplorable” I’m going to hazard a guess that they’ll be stacked side-by-side in mass graves since their next of kin won’t exactly be looking for them.

The red states will have a “Grave of the Unknown Chud” where it’s patrolled alternately by a confederate flag-covered rear end in a top hat riding back and forth on his mobility scooter and a white man driving a BMW SUV.

Lots of people knew, but there are still millions of voters out there way less plugged in than almost any D&D poster. The research after the election suggested that the electorate at large thought Trump was the more moderate candidate. And why wouldn't they, if a casual glance at headlines or trending social media would give you lots of things like "Trump Promises 'Beautiful' Health Care Plan" and "Oh, he's one of those NYC business Republicans, he's not gonna sign onto the fundamentalist anti-LGBT stuff."? He had no record you could point to, and if you're lazy you can say the bad stuff was him playing to the base and/or just the way Democrats always call Republicans Nazis and Republicans always call Democrats Communists.

Plus, he was running against HILLARY, who we all knew was a radical extremist because the media had hammered that since before anyone knew what an e-mail was.

The people that dumb in 2016 are still dumb now, but Trump's not an outsider with no record and his opponent hasn't been the Great Satan in half of American media for 20+ years.
