Okay so I'm bored and feel like having visitors, please don't touch the fruit trees I'm waiting on them all to grow. I got 10 fossils on my beach to the right of my airport that I don't need plus a few DIY's I already know and Redd is selling the real Graceful painting. there's also the fake Mona Lisa if anyone wants it, if you can buy from Redd on other peoples islands, I have no idea. Once you're done, go look up a guide and check before you buy. It's more fun that way and you don't have to worry about losing money and time.

Some of the fakes I had were pretty silly from a "i'd never have guessed" perspective. Like for me, my fakes yesterday were "statue who had the wrong leg forward," "statue who is holding a sword instead of nothing (but it looks totally natural)" and "painting where lady is pouring milk, but like more then in the real one, but not a ridiculous amount or something" and "painting with a bunch of people and that guy in the backround's hand is supposed to be touching the door frame, but you gotta look real close to notice."

Yeah, I'm all for trying to guess which are real and which are fake, but the differences seem way more subtle in this game than they were in New Leaf. If it was all goofy poo poo like finger guns and bat wings I wouldn't bother with the guide at all, but most of them seem to be stuff like 'some foliage is missing' or 'there's one less guy in the background'...

How do I change a villager's nickname for me? I was an idiot and didn't realise I could decline the default and write my own hilarious nickname - I just picked the default and now others are asking to call me 'funky'. I asked Isabelle to have a word, but that hasn't done the trick. Will they eventually get bored and decide to change it?

Another advantage to having 4 human islanders is getting 4 recipes each day. The downside is having to pay for and tend extra homes. Luckily I have 2 kids who play so I only get extra paintings, K.K. songs, and recipes without having to decorate.
