I’ve played since beta with a 8 inch per 360. My hitscan aim isn’t too bad, especially since I can correct minor changes with movement. I’ve lowered to 14 and man is it difficult

It's fine to have different sens for different games. Valorant is basically cs. In tf2 you need to be able to flick your aim around constantly as opposed to smooth precision and slow movement.

Yeah after messing with it I’ve set my sens back to where it was and just use my dpi to switch between games. I haven’t played anything that slow in probably a decade so I was probably over compensating. I have always heard just use one sense, but I guess it’s probably one sens per game, as opposed to across games.

Played some TF2 for the first time since the LC farwell tour... four years ago? five? Was impressed my muscle memory for class selection, skipping through menus etc was still there No issues with cheaters on public servers etc but maybe I was lucky

I’ve been playing Creator.tf lately. It’s not perfect and there are a lot of annoying people when all talks on, but it’s usually full, has a decent mix of custom and standard maps, and no crits. It’s fun enough, but there are a lot of idiots and the level of play is no higher than casual.

Yeah I’ve argued with a couple people about saying lovely things over mic (racist, sexist, ablist, and homophobic) but for the most part it’s just annoying shouting over each other. I try to join 1/2 filled servers and it seems to work in avoiding the garbage. Although I have had a couple people try to harass me for playing the game, claiming I was a tryhard. They had a pretty good meltdown that I wish I had recorded.

Honestly other than on Creators, I rarely hear people use mics. And then when they do, it usually alerts me to why my team is calling a votekick

Those guys are always fun. I remember when I was still pretty new and one of those guys was on my team when I had a decent round and ended up on the mvp list and he called me out as winning them the match. It was a real confidence boost. Also I think this was back in the days of the high five teleport glitch and we pulled it off together.

I was on a team once with a guy who would play snippets of songs through his mic, but it was always appropriate to what was going on in the game. We went into overtime and he played Final Countdown, then when we won he played We Are The Champions.  TF2 feels empty to me when people aren’t communicating (emphasis on communicating, not just making stupid noises or being an idiot). Me and my Scottish bud somehow ended up in an NA casual server once (me being in the UK) and people were chatting over mic, making calls, being silly etc. There would be one or two idiots, but for the most part it was a way more enjoyable environment, especially compared to when we re-queued into an EU server and it was deathly silent. Nobody was even saying anything in text chat and it felt so soulless.

Ever since casual I turned voice off. I think it's just not worth having to manually mute a load of mic spammers for a game that might only last a few minutes before you get thrown in with another group of randoms. If I played on an actual server I would probably turn it back on.

Pre the latest update I had an issue where a bot showed up, voted to kick him and instead of insta-quitting the way the latest crop of bots do it waited until the vote failed and then my game crashed. Might have been unrelated. I was also playing with someone earlier today who was saying their game had started to crash like every other match.

yeah like this is just silly in this picture there are 6 sticks inside the statue and one poking out slightly to show that there are in fact sticks inside it would've been better to put these in the spawns, would've made it more seen to begin with

The only part that I feel a bit weird about is the fact that his IRL name and birth/death date are on it. I would have kept it as is but had the base just say "That was a hell of a campaign, son!" A nod that is more about his life than his death.
