BAEST MODE!!!
Tournament of Survival 1 isn't as good as the later tournaments but it's one of the most important indie shows of the last decade since it really helped make Joey Janela a star. Also Zandig's interactions with the wrestlers backstage are really funny.

Well that sounds like a hell of a match. I hope Mickie Knuckles is Okay, and escaped, you know, everything about being an iwa mid south person.

I've only seen one thing involving mickie knuckles and it was her beating the absolute gently caress out of some guy legit because he hosed something up in a match or something?

And he was basically trying to just sell the beating but she kept laying it in harder anyway.

Didn't make me a fan. I could be totally misremembering things because it's 5am and I haven't slept.

Edit: I have woken up, what I was hazily trying to describe was the Mike Levy incident.

I know I'm just screaming into the wind, but man, I wish PWG was streaming on IWTV. I'd even take a Pivotshare-type of thing. With Hero's release, I was combing through his cagematch and found out about Hero/End v. Lucha Bros and gently caress! gently caress!

Highspots Network has every PWG show from the beginning until about a year ago. And add new shows on about a 1 year delay. So Hero/End vs Lucha Bros will be on there.

Yeah, but I hate Highspots on a visceral level. I've also got my fingers in so many streaming pies at this point! I can't do IWTV and Highspots!

I've got IWTV and me and my boys have been watching the same show and live chatting about it to each other. Last one we did was CZW Cage of Death XI.

But Highspots has that PWG and WxW stuff I've been craving. I've been wondering about getting it as well. Or the ROH one, though I don't know anything about ROH outside of some classic matches and the G1 Supercard last year. There's simply too much wrestling.

Which one should I get? I'm leaning towards Highspots, tbh. How're the Roku apps on either of these?

I'm a huge fan of Highspots. They have a ton of really good interviews like all of the Best Friends stuff and the Dan Barry stuff and the old Kevin Steen shows. If you're interested in any of that stuff in addition to the wrestling stuff they have it's hard to beat Highspots.

Yeah, got a sub just now and it has a lot of great stuff on it. Terrible UI though, and no concurrent streaming, which stoinks. Guess I'll have to Zoom share my screen with the boys.

last I checked Mickie Knuckles is still out there. I think she got bullied for looking too much like Jessicka Havok tho. She was looking pretty rough for a while, ditching the oldschool camo pants look for a rather unflattering singlet and spiked hair.

I'm not making a fucking QCS thread for this but seriously can we take a harder stance on Kiwifarms freaks like this guy, Jesus Christ seriously, you used to be better at knocking these creeps down. I guess ADTRW mods aren't responsible like GBS mods are.
In the lull of wrestling right now I've been watching a ton of old ROH and CZW shows and I'm wonder if there's any guys out there at the moment that just have that intimidating, beat your rear end aura that was around in the mid-late 00's like Joe, Super Dragon, Necro Butcher, Low-Ki, Kingston, etc. I know Nick Gauge is still around and I watch GCW on occasion but nobody's really popping out to me right now as that kind of wrestler

Also if you could define the indies from the mid 00's to now what wrestlers and styles would you say there were? The early kings were the guys I mentioned before + guys heavily influenced by Joshi/Puro and there was a lot of brawling. Then we seemed to move on to the Davey Richards/Seth Rollins indies where it was just finisher kickouts and big spots, and after that was the PWG sprints IMO but after WWE scooped up the indies and AEW started I can't think of anything in particular other than absolute diversity individuality who I'd contribute more to Joey Janella and the success of Spring Break. There's so many different styles and shows going on and all of them are completely different so the indies have become more about finding your niche than anyone standing out to me

Mance Warner has that to some degree. I think Matthew Justice would have it if he didn't have a soul-deep stoner vibe. I think people who have it these days often have it tempered with a bit of humour.

(sidebar, does anyone else have difficulty telling Josh Briggs, Matthew Justice, and Jake Something apart?)

A: Chris Dickinson
B: The general mix of elements of the modern indies is best shown through Joey Janela's Spring Break, which is currently on IWTV. You have the early 2000s workrate style match in Keith Lee/Lio Rush, the meta nostalgia booking style in Janela/Janetty, the worked shoot wave in Riddle/Severn, classic deathmatch wrestling in Tremont/Kingston, and post-death of Chikara comedy wrestling in the Clusterfuck. All of those are still around to some degree, but some promotions have more of certain elements than others.

Pinkie Sanchez. I would not fight that dude for less than $2k cash up front.

I'm not making a fucking QCS thread for this but seriously can we take a harder stance on Kiwifarms freaks like this guy, Jesus Christ seriously, you used to be better at knocking these creeps down. I guess ADTRW mods aren't responsible like GBS mods are.

Pinkie Sanchez caused almost all of my immediate family to block me on Facebook years ago so he's a total blessing.

I mentioned the Spring Break and WM weekend shows, there's so much of everything, for everyone now.

Dirty Daddy is probably the guy I'm most familiar with at the moment. I'm hoping there's another indie explosion next year when things start getting back to normal. I think Joe could have one more good run if he's released soon and he could put someone over hard, and I'm imagining something almost like the Cabana/Homicide feud from ROH with Darby and Joe with Darby screaming YOU'LL HAVE TO KILL ME

Chris Dickinson is the action movie heavy you let have a very thoughtful paragraph of dialogue for comedy relief.

I forget what day, but there's a Paradigm Pro show streaming this month on IWTV that was a heavyweight, UWFi-rules tournament.

chris dickinson has a decent degree of this energy, imo, albeit filtered through 'pissed off middle aged divorcee'.
