I know you guys have been dying for the animal crossing crossover

quote:

AITA: For causing an argument between my friend and his Girlfriend because I refused to change how my Avatar was dressed in Animal Crossing New Horizons?

I (21F) visited my Friend's (25M) island on Animal Crossing so I could check out his store. He messaged me asking me to change my Avatar's clothes because his Girlfriend didn't like how I was dressed and that I was visiting him like that.

This is what I wore here

Apparently it's the bunny ears and lack of pants & shoes.

I told him I wouldn't change and that's ridiculous. Later on when I asked to go again another day he told me No, I can't go there because he promised his girlfriend not to let me. He was also mad that I didn't change when he asked because it caused a huge argument with his girlfriend that could of been easily avoided.

I asked a friend and she said I should of just changed because that's less of a hassle than the boyfriend dealing with his Girlfriend.

Was ITA for refusing to change therefore creating an argument?

Yeah my wife used to work in the domestic violence task for so she often worked with the UKs version of CPS. A solid 50% of them would find any excuse to close a file.

Just an example a man high on an unknown substance was stabbing his countertop in a rage. His partners 5 year old child was sitting on said counter and he stabbed through her kneecap requiring surgery.

Closed because it was just an accident.

I'm rich and my wife is doing so well on rehab is probably the line they sold in this case.

Is it possible to have a heterosexual, monogamous relationship when one person has a homosexual past?

quote:

I (28f) have been with my boyfriend (33m) for about two years. Eight years ago, I had sex (oral) with a female friend of mine. One time. Well, we were kind of touching each other and making out the day before, then the next night had oral sex. We never spoke about it, just continued being "platonic" friends, and I never did it again with her or another woman. Keep in mind, I was 20 and drunk and high at the time. I was living alone at uni and was in an experimental phase, also experimenting with weed and whatnot. In a way I think it's "cool" that I faced my fears and did it, but I didn't like it enough to do it again. Now I'm dating my boyfriend and he was surprised that me and this woman are still friends. When I invited him to meet her and her boyfriend, he asked if we'd have group sex. I said no because we'd never done that before in the past 8 years at other points where we'd met each other's boyfriends. He then got angry and said it would be humiliating for him to go meet her if we weren't all going to have sex, because she'd have power over him. I said ok, we don't have to go meet them. We fought a lot about this and I even offered to end the friendship with this woman because it seemed like that's what he wants. But in fact he was saying that what he wants is to have a threesome, with me and any other woman. That way, he could hang out with her in the future, and he and her would be "even" because they'd both experienced my "lesbian side". Basically he's been trying to have a threesome ever since, sending me lesbian porn or links to swingers nights in clubs. When I complain and say I don't want to do it, he says well then if I wanted to have a monogamous heterosexual relationship, I shouldn't have done that in the past.

He's saying it's not fair that I did it with her but won't with him. I feel like he's judging me for that one incident, but on the other hand it's true, I did do it, and maybe all guys from now on will see me through this lens. What do people think? I'm very confused, should I just bite the bullet and have a threesome with him so we can move past this? I'm sober for 4 years now and part of me doesn't even know how I would do it, but maybe I could force myself or somehow get into it. I also suggested he just have a threesome with two other women, not me, and actually that's the note we ended things on, he'll do that (using a condom) after the pandemic is over and then we'll be "even" and move on. I love him and want to marry him, but I'm scared we'll never be able to move past this.

Edit: what would be especially helpful is hearing from couples where one person had sex with or even dated someone from the same sex before, but is now able to have a heterosexual relationship where their partner doesn't define them from it?

TLDR: Had sex with a woman once 8 years ago, my boyfriend can't move past it and can't see me as monogamous wife material. Help!

she made essentially this same post 6 months ago as well, and all the comments told her to dump him then too

I (M21) broke up with my dream girl(F22) to improve our relationship, it backfired and I need some advice. Please!

quote:

I'll make it concise, we were doing great. Going steady 2 years, both university students and both co-habiting.

In January she was meant to leave for an international placement at another and a mixture of my own mental health problems I have since begun to effectively manage and small relationship problems (relating to hormonal birth control) caused me to break her heart a week before she left on that trip and broke up with her.

It was agreed we were to remain best friends and with the idea that we would find ways to focus on ourselves, I promised her I wanted to try again when she was back, that I wasn't going to seek a committed relationship as well as agreeing to come visit her while she was away and generally support eachother. I thought it would give us some space to become stronger people apart and work on our issues seperately to forge s stronger relationship on her return.

That night I had a friend come over to support me while she went to hers. I downloaded tinder as something to pass the time and relieve some of the anxiety. Unhealthy coping mechanisms be damned. Because, she discovered it that night and was clearly furious and hurt at me.

Since that day, I have heard nothing from her save for replies of rejection to my texts. When she returned home due to the virus, I sent her letters pouring my heart out, apologising and attempting to explain how wrong I was to make my decisions and how much I regret them. I really love this girl, I don't know what to do, she won't talk to me. I have really messed everything up and I really need some common sense advice. We were great before I went and did a stupid thing. She was my everything and I lost it all on a stupid hope.

TL;DR: broke up with my dream girl on some misguided assertion it would improve our relationship.

Worried husband might not be able to overlook change of religious views

quote:

Okay so I preface this by saying I used to be Christian, and I was raised in an overbearing Christian household (with my narcissistic abusive mother)

I have never been in a good place with religion. I acknowledge God exists but I also know the Old Gods are alive and well. Since childhood I have always been drawn to and obsessed with the Craft and Metaphysical things. I’ve always been good at it and it brought me joy, and guilt.

I have cut off ties with all of my maternal family due to emotional and physical abuse throughout my childhood. After doing that I figured ** gently caress it I’m an adult and I can be who I want to be and I’m going to pursue my own happiness.

My husband is Christian but has never once looked down on me for my “pagan tendencies” but I feel more drawn to witchcraft everyday and I know it will bring me immeasurable happiness.

(which he would be unbelievably against because of his Christian upbringing and I’m pretty sure it would scare him since he doesn’t really understand it)

—That being said.

I have already planned to make a honey pot and a love oil for our marriage because we have been struggling with ourselves even before the change in religion.

Now I’m wondering if I should do a spell for him to “Turn A Blind Eye” to my craft ???????? And how would I even do that???
