I'm seriously having a hard time understanding what this lead paint chip eater is trying to get across with the sign. Is she saying she wants to work because she equates it with freedom? Is she noticing the dark bitter evil irony of the words of her sign and the fact that work did not set the Jews free? Is she telling others the work will set them free knowing it will kill them? Is she just throwing Nazi slogans up regardless of context because she is a nazi?
