so I began to write this and turned into a reflection but it is a heartfelt and honest one, for real nah, putting effort and sweat into doing something towards socialism is never a waste there seems to be an uniquely american perspective in its left, where any demonstration that you are devastated because you cared and you still care must be buried at any cost behind a veil of extremely cool ironic posting or distanced from through doom and gloom, but somehow still maintaining a leftist perspective it is good that Chapo did those "serious" episodes because they mobilized people and fostered solidarity: they joined unions, they formed friendships, they got to come together for the cause of the better day; to think and really believe that all those things were a waste is where the true defeat lies, where the monster of reaction comes to devour the mind I dunno if that is some sort of peculiar fatalism bred in the aftermath of the 60s because the every single relevant force in the USA was hellbent in destroying anything resembling leftist action and thought, but that does not even come close to the actual lengths that Spain, Italy, Germany and elsewhere went to annihilate the left during their heydays of fascism. Yet, the left survived and ultimately endured Why not the USA? What is there, peculiar to its middle class, perhaps, that makes its leftists to refuse hope? Hope in regards to socialism is as essential as water is to life. How one can fight for the brighter tomorrow if one has no hope?

maybe just practical reasons. all those countries have voting systems that put leftists into office. congressional districts with 800k voters per and fptp rules just squashes any type of radical movement. also our tv shows are really good

The entire NY comedy and improv community exploded and threatened to boycott that venue because of nazi. Jake said someone should throw a milkshake at Milo. The event was canceled. Later on another night Luis walks up to Jake hits him and spits in his face, Luis' friend tells Jake to go away. Like I said I'm not sure why Jake should tolerate any of that bullshit.

i'm just cynical and disillusioned with idpol after seeing it used mostly to discredit people like bernie, corbyn or ilhan omar. i guess milo and to a lesser extent alex jones ended up eating poo poo and getting cancelled to a degree because one came out pro pedo and the other went after parents of slain children and they are truly vile people who shouldn't be welcomed in polite society but unless these people self own that hard it never sticks to right wing figures
