If the mortality rate is 1%, and 100% of Americans catch it, then that means 3 million deaths in the U.S.. For every million deaths, if we look at surveys for "how much should we spend to save a life" by looking at things like highway speed limits, it usually comes out to $10 million, and we very often fail to meet even that standard for things like air pollution. That comes out to $10 trillion per million deaths. That's almost half of the entire U.S. GDP per million deaths prevented. They can attack the strawman that this is about locking down as long as it "saves one life" as much as they want, but it's never been the case, because the potential loss of life at stake is so momentous. They could be focusing their energy on attacking Congress for not doing something like instituting a UBI and putting a national moratorium on evictions, but they can't resist an opportunity to punch down instead of up.

This is not an abstract politics thing. The white house becomes a castle. Trump made himself a Traitor. And that is where I am asking the question, how much of the military are Trump supporters? Because then anti-trumpers break off and go on a mission to infiltrate and kill the traitor (Maybe for values or to gain their own power).

I talked to some family in Oklahoma

they’re not dumb people

but there is clearly such a lack of education and information about masks

the difference between a cloth mask, a surgical mask, and an n95 mask took forever to explain. eventually had to have them send pictures of things to tell them what was what

they have tons of n95 masks (lots of construction people), but didn’t understand they were better than ...whatever else. there’s just been a ton of news about homemade masks so they though that’s what they should use

Nah, you'll need a terrible plan that just so happens to work. A lot of chud success stories interrupt the narrative right after a payoff, and not when they're sued by their sick workers for the money they now have via a GoFundMe.

The implicit notion at play here, and across the entire response narrative as well as that of the policy framework put in play by the Trump GOP, is that human life is absolutely worthless unless it can be leveraged to enact violence for the purposes of serving the oligarchy. Sorry.
