woohoo! just snagged a 2ds XL for $100 off of FB marketplace in an era where every single game stop around a 25 mile radius is "sold out of every single console we carry man, sorry." Nintendo was also out, who the hell is buying these anymore other than super goons like me lmao Just rush ordered a microSD card and I'm gonna spend the weekend loading this puppy up with the 6 or so 3DS titles I tossed aside because the switch was new and shiny. Mostly 100 hour long RPGs each because im a dumb nerd who likes to draw his own maps. Now I'm debating whether to take the time and play Persona Q, or jump to the supposedly vastly superior persona Q2. Not gonna lie, both games ooze a ton of style, I'm just worried the first one might get dull or repetitive E: i know we have a 3ds thread but the same like, five dudes post here too so KingSlime fucked around with this message at 21:25 on May 7, 2020 |

I was on the fence while looking at the sale and I was getting some pretty heavy TP vibes. I actually hadn't heard of the game before seeing mentions of it in this thread but ya if its a 10/10 I'm buying this poo poo right the gently caress now.

Throughout the game, the protagonist, Francis York Morgan, periodically visits two supernatural rooms: the White Room and the Red Room. The White Room represents a normal subconscious, while the Red Room represents one influenced by evil.

Miyamoto was very involved in the project and it was because of the game's quality that they were comfortable re-purposing it into a Mario sequel.

Anyone else have audio lag while the Switch is docked? I'm using a small Vizio and the lag starts at about 0.25 seconds and gets worse as time goes on. Native apps don't do it and nothing else that uses HDMI has this issue. I have a larger and older Vizio that does not have this problem. Is there a big lever labeled "FIX STUFF" I can pull?

Agree with this. I'm about 5 hours in and it is clear that Swery loves him some Twin Peaks, but it's distinct enough to stand up on its own, rather than feeling like a retread. That said, it is the jankiest, low-budgeted rear end game I've played in a while. It's ambitious and I like the characters and narrative enough to keep going, but highly polished it is not. Hopefully the sequel is not quite as rough. (And to the op who first asked about its Twin Peaksyness, I hope you've already played Alan Wake. It's not as pure Twin Peaksy as Deadly Premonition though, it's more like a blend of Twin Peaks and Stephen King.)

Apparently it's the fourth best selling NES game, and while 1 and 3 sold better, they were included with the system at different times, which might account for the difference. So that's pretty impressive. It sold better than Zelda! SMB2 was always the strange one of the original three, but I must admit that it plays pretty well. And while I never played the Lost Levels, I think the American SMB2 looks like more fun.

Taking a photo also has the risk of saving geolocation data in the image’s metadata, or of revealing something about your environment, like from a reflection on the screen.

The creator literally wanted to make Twin Peaks the Game. It's weird and bizarre in all the best ways, but a lot of game-play elements that were clearly forced in to make it a "game" by xbox360 standards are terrible at best. You can very easily unlock infinite ammo versions of every weapon and you will want to do that around the mid point of the game for sure. You get the ablilty to revisit chapters constantly and every single character has their own little mini-quest you can do to learn about them (which you will). Most important, the absolute essential thing you need is a map of the game to figure out where to go. Unless the ports changed it I ended up using a printed map of the town layout to literally navigate around because it's hard to tell otherwise.
