SUCK A MALE CAMEL'S DICK WITH MIRACLE WHIP!!
Did anyone hear when Will or Jason or whoever was talking about how much he pays for an ounce of weed? 350 Bucks!?!?!?!?!
Is that a standard NYC price? Rude Jude, a couple days later did a segment that he does from time to time called "drug stockmarket" where people call in from around the US and give prices for various drugs. There were a couple people who called from New York, but they never really specified how much a typical ounce goes for in the city.

Is 350 a standard price? That sounds high as gently caress. Around here, when it was still illegal you'd pay 180-220 for an ounce. You could typically get two for the price he's paying for one.

lol holy poo poo.

In Canada you can get grey market weed for $120-$150 an oz via mail order. Even the legal stuff the government sells isn't that expensive.

Prices in the North East have always been high, because you have to ship it here, and everything is that much more expensive in NYC. Plus, Jason has good taste, and l would imagine he buys top quality weed. And he probably has a high-service level guy who caters to wealthier clients. All this to say that $350 is probably down from historical levels, since with legalization, prices have started to come down across the board. He was probably paying $450 an oz 10 years ago.

Back in the day (90s), kind bud (ie sensemillia) was rare in the North East, and when it came around, you bought it. Price was pretty much always $60 an eighth. Most weed was Mexican ditch weed, aka schwag, aka The Brown Frown, packed tight as a brick in garbage compactors for smuggling, which sold for $25-$30 an eighth.

That $60 an eighth price lasted right up until legalization put pressure on it 5-6 years ago. Quality and availability only got better over time; for the last 15 years or so we've had access to West Coast grown weed here in Massachusetts, but it was always a little moldy by the time you bought it. Modern dispensary weed is much, much fresher.

For now, prices have stabilized a bit, but there is farther for them to fall in the future, once more dispensaries open. Black market price is $40 an eighth, compared to dispensary prices of $35-50 for an eighth (plus tax if you don't have a medical card).

I'm surprised that this is news to some people here, its was passed around and scrutinized all over the place. I read Reddit and Dawg's though so I'm obviously way too knowledgeable about the show in general.

All's I'll say is that someone named it "The Pelican Brief" and I think I wheezed from laughter after hearing that, it's so perfect

This is pretty depressing (from the first post in the thread):

quote:

Shows on Howard 101

Howard 101 is the 2nd channel of Howard Stern programming. From 9am to 3pm EST the daily Howard Stern show is replayed.
Bubba the Love Sponge has always filled the afternoon drivetime spot from 3pm to 7pm on Howard 101. Currently he does not have a contract with Sirius/XM radio.
Bubba's show can be heard each morning streaming on https://www.theboneonline.com and via https://www.radioio.com
Radioio.com will also have exclusive Bubba shows and on demand content. For all things Bubba visit https://www.btls.com or https://www.twitter.com/btlsradio
The 3pm-7pm slot will currently be filled with Mammary Lane. Mammary Lane is a request/clips show hosted by Gary and John Hein. Its usually pretty good.
7pm-8pm est is set aside for specialty shows.

Random shows on H101
-Chuck Zito's View. Select Mondays at 7pm.
-Jackies Joke Hunt. Tuesdays at 7pm
-The Intern Show- Wednesdays at 7pm
-Supefan roundtable. Thursday at 7pm
-Jay Thomas. Friday 7am
-Geektime. Saturday 2pm
-Miserable Men. Sunday 7pm

Other regular programming on H101 include The Scott Ferrall show. This is a sports show. Scottie has his own unique style of radio that includes music playing in the background and tons of live play by play.

Look at all of that. Now 101 is effectively an endless "Friend of the Court" interview replay from the last three years only.

Pretty sure it is just the Wrap Up Show, Sternthology, and the Saturday Soundtrack thing which I think is just part of weekend Sternthology. So much potential for these channels. Remember when he talk about having a 3rd channel?

yeah there was this sweetspot after the CBS lawsuit were they are going after XM and had so much content. Then they merge with XM and he gets into an argument about subscriber numbers and bonuses and that was that.

Did they remake that one, too? The original was pretty funny (partly because Billy West, and partly because it was many years ago). And more people knew what "Hill Street Blues" was -- it was very popular at the time.

You're giving Howard way too much credit for how much of an influence he has. He couldn't turn the tide in 2004 when he had millions upon millions of loyal listeners, and he certainly isn't going to have any impact now when he likely has a few hundred thousand listeners.

I found that someone uploaded the entire Artie Lange Addiction Saga to YouTube, and I was listening to that again until it got taken down this week. I should have downloaded it when I had the chance. With some Googling I was able to find Chapters 1, 2, 5, and 6. But I still need Chapters 3 and 4.

It's like 24 hours long and it sucks me in every time. I've probably listened to it all the way through 3 times over the years.
