I just saw Sadako vs. Kayako and that has the coolest Japanese exorcist ever. He's pretty much John Constantine. While it does have a bunch of the horror from The Ring and Grudge it's also funny as gently caress with a bunch of stupid kills. I love the twists in the comic. One panel ago we were all set up for this psychic to have made an accurate analysis of the undercover manga artist and the tension was high, one panel later and all the tension is defused. Truly the author is a master of his craft, the classic build it up and let then quietly let the air out in a single strip

ok but , "then do you not think...?" is a rhetoric phrase used when the speaker already thinks the thing theyre asking "you know acid hurts, right? then do you not think its a bad idea to bathe in acid?" or "then dont you think you should call and let them know?" or "jimmy dont you think youd better go home to your wife instead of kneeling in front of a glory hole late at night?" and even if that rhetorical construction doesnt exist in japanese (idk ask sister make) then its weird anyway. like just skip that panel and go right to "itll be alright" and thats a way more cogent response
