I know GBS isn't generally of the opinion "I'm bored so let's open up", but interest in it as a topic of discussion is flagging (for myself included). From a statistics standpoint, you would probably want to compare this to overall posts within the subforum, and compared to similar threads in other subforums, to clearly demonstrate a meaningful trend. We could also be seeing a decrease in posting rate forums-wide.

I don't think people want to defend the CCP. They're just well aware of what 9/11 did to this country and the wave of nationalism that followed. Trump is going to get away with killing droves of Americans because this came from a communist country.

I just left Menards (like Lowes, home depot) and they have a sign "requiring" masks and if you don't have one, they are $1 just inside the door. Of course they can't enforce it, but it was a nice contrast to whats going on at local grocery stores and Walmart where the only people following distancing and wearing masks are the employees. Of course there were a few boomers/libertarians/trumpers not wearing them at Menards but it was like 90% with masks.

Like reopening the elementary and secondary schools for four weeks, after successfully being in "fully online and home schooled" mode for almost two months.
