I said its a total scam, but then I was lost for words as to how to explain it was a scam, its just so much wrong with this game. Just pull up a video of somebody playing it or stealing it. It's not like you even have to explain it. Go watch it, unedited, and all the exciting gameplay loops you can do.

Or show them... this?quote:So with 3.9 came a lot of bugs and one of them is a bug wich leads to a T-Pose after you exit your pilot Seat. It is very annoying when I try to deliver Boxes and I managed to make a sort of "Workaround" the bug. First step is to lay down the boxes so that you can tell which box needs to be delivered based on the locations. The second step is when you land at your target location and you experience the bug to remember that ONCE YOU LEAVE YOUR SHIP AND GO BACK IN, THE BUG WILL STAY FOREVER UNTILL YOU SIT DOWN AND FLY AWAY so your priority will be to get all target boxes out of your ship without leaving it so you can walk normall to the drop off. You can get the boxes out of your ship by taking one and dropping it on a ramp like the rear of the Freelancer and it will slide down and be safe to be picked up later. Then you are done you are only allowed to take back one thing to your ship because the the bug will stay. The third step consists of getting back to your seat. You should park your ship with the cockpit more elevated than the rear to be safe. One thing the bug makes you do is losing your sence of gravity and you clip through everything. when you press space you get a bit higher and try to get to the cockpit if your are higher than your cockpit seat game over. Hopefully I can help Citizen's who are held captive by the bug.

Is it possible to find 30 seconds of unedited footage where something doesn't gently caress up? What's the ETA for the game's downfall? As in when the game is written off by all but the believers? Will it be a bombshell or an anti-climax? Which channel will give the best post-mortem?

I've just had a streamer I watch open in a second monitorplaying this game. In that time he decided to get a bunch of friends with cars and fighters to land in his big ship (Karak or something). Took about 30-40 minutes to get two land vehicles in the cargo bay without them violently jumping around and killing people. One of his passengers looked at an elevator and died. Another guy parked a space bike in the hangar and it bugged everything out, so they had to start again. Then they landed a fighter in the roof hangar and took off. The audio engine immediately went apeshit, flooded his audio with static, and the server crashed. He relogged, and there is immediately a loud, constant crashing sound throughout his ship. The ship has also been teleported from the surface of the planet he was on to the centre of the sun. On further investigation, it tuns out that of the two cars in the ship, one is gone, the other has clipped half way through the vessel and is trapped in the medical bay, and is causing the constant crashing noises. The fighter ship in the roof hangar has flipped upside down and is also rattling round making lots of noise. He spends 15 minutes flying back to the planet like this, and the game immediately crashes again. He relogs, attempts to land to pick up his friends from a space station, but his ship explodes for no apparent reason. I understand from the stream's chat that this ship costs $1,100, and this entire process took nearly 3 hours, while his average FPS was like 25-30, on a monster pc.

Oh but my favourite part was when he gave a tour of his ship. It was like "This is the crew quarters, you can't really do anything in here. This is the dining room - you can't do anything here, it's mostly for roleplaying. This is the medical bay - oh there's a car.... that shouldn't be here. The suspension is perfectly modelled, but yeah it's kind of clipping through the walls. You can't do much in the med bay except lay on the bed. Here's the drone control room - there are no drones in the game, but there's a chair you can sit in. I won't though because it's bugged. Here's the engine room, one day you'll be able to repair the engine and stuff, but that feature isn't in yet..."

CR has thematically separated the poors from the in game rich. One reason why people still buy ships and "upgrade" to the next one. The illusion of achievement through purchases is real. I guess achievement / fame / progress they can't seem to attain in real life. Who knows for sure?

Best Bi Geek Squid posted:that, or it isn't in the world as a physics object (or belonged to a different category of physics object) until the player leaves it I have tried to explain it multiple times, SC has at least 3 different physics models (Space, Planet, and Physics Grid). The ships transition from the space model (the inertialess jank we all love) into the planet one (which is mainly a FPS mode. Ships flying in a planet still use the space model) under certain circumstances and, at that point, all sorts of magical stuff can happen when suddenly they gain mass and are affected by gravity and stuff. In the case of that specific commando I bet he didn't turn off the ship's engine off, which keeps the ship in the space model so, as soon as he stepped off, the server decided to put the ship in the planet one without following the proper steps to do so. trucutru fucked around with this message at 03:45 on May 13, 2020 |

When I first played SC 2 years ago, maybe 1 out of every 10 NPCs would randomly stand on a chair once in a while. But I guess I just don’t understand super advanced subsumption AI development. It's simple really, Chris the programming wunderkind at it again You see he has created AI so advanced, that they saw a few of the NPC's bugging out in earlier builds and have since adapted that to their own behavior thinking it was 'normal' At this point Chris is simply letting the AI run it's course, they should be on track to cure COVID by 2057 , assuming of course they don't see anymore bugs and get side tracked from their daily subsumption routines which are totally working and not made up bullshit
