I used to think I didn't like Orphaned Land because their music wasn't good, but their last couple of albums are very good musically - it's just that they don't let you forget for a single second where they're from.
We get it, you're from the Middle East, can we have a single song that's not about that?
I say this as someone who lives in Israel and wishes we had one band that didn't either suck balls or be so... intentionally provincial.
I wonder if Desert still suck.

In metal-adjacent news, apparently Puscifer is releasing a new album in autumn.

And released a single and uh

It was written last year, apparently. They just made a fitting video.

Getting some heavy Kraftwerk vibes from it.

Their last ever show in Atlanta is still the most fun I’ve ever had at a metal concert.

I was afraid this wasn’t going to measure up but nope this rips and I’m still gay for Mathias Blad’s voice

TesseracT
Darkest Hour
Twelve Foot Ninja
Der Weg einer Freiheit
O’Brother
Silvertomb
Astronoid
Contracult Collective
A.A. Williams
Myrone

Also, they will debut new music by groups of commissioned musicians, the first of which is:

Luc Lemay (Gorguts)
Dave Davidson (Revocation / Gargoyl)
Liam Wilson (Azusa, The Dillinger Escape Plan)
Elliot Hoffman (Car Bomb)

Site Link: https://www.slayathomefest.com/

Below is a teaser video:

Are of any of these bands worth checking out. I only know of Darkest Hour and TesseracT by name. Really, the only thing that piqued my interest is hearing new music from Luc Lemay.

MYRONE is one guy doing primarily instrumental stuff with a focus on guitar solos over the top of extremely 80s synths. Whether you'll find his stuff awesome or repulsive depends on your stomach for retro cheese.
