I got technocrat as well. Shut the gently caress up and let the experts run things you swine. Centrist Marxist for the other one. Doesn’t seem to be much logic to it though, it says centrist marxists don’t take a position between reform and revolution, but my results clearly showed one favored over the other.

I also got Technocracy. Kind of makes sense, we need smart people to guide us into an automated workforce owned by the workers, to reduce working hours to the point where some of us don't have to work at all. Also, the dirty secret behind conservative values has been revealed:

Making a rightist values quiz to go with your leftist quiz and then filling it with spelling and grammar errors is some amateur-rear end satire. Except I guess it's real? I'm still right. The planet's dyin, Cloud I think one of the problems this quiz has is it doesn't make much of a distinction between ideological questions now and ideological questions later. Like, I'm not hugely super keen on political parties in a future socialist society, I'm not even much keen on a large overarching state, but we have political parties right now and I'd rather they be successful than fail miserably. Anyways, according to the Right-wing test I'm apparently an Anarcho-Primitivist Technocrat which is...interesting.

Quiz's like this are so dependant on definitons: "It is necessary to establish a dictatorship of the proletariat as a transitionary stage between capitalism and socialism." If this is the leninist line then gently caress right off with that poo poo, ... but if it''s Kerensky style worker co-ops and enhanced democratic control of the means of production it is a very different question. Centrist Marxism, based on: Left-Wing Nationalism: 78.2% Social Democracy: 74.7% Orthodox Marxism: 63.2% Basically Olof Palme. surprised i got 50% marxist-leninist though, I guess thats for my less internationalist leanings. LeftValues: "Centrist Marxism" which is probably prompted by the vast amounts of neutral/unsure answers I gave to questions I feel go over my head. Yet the definition says that the paramount indecisive issue is revolution vs reform, where I'm 70.6% reform and taking violence off the table is one of the only things I take strong stances on. I would have not bothered posting at all except that RightValues thinks I'm more an advocate for a state-run economy than most everyone here: Apparently I'm more of a Republican's idea of what socialists are like more than an actual socialist, which is kinda accurate. I want money redistributed to a work-optional society who benefits from most of the labor being automated so they can spend their time on Earth doing what they want to do rather than what is demanded of them, but when you start talking about old European philosophers or positively using imagery associated with the USSR then I leave the chat. Postorder Trollet89 posted:Quiz's like this are so dependant on definitons: Certainly there is a lot of disagreement about what a DOTP is supposed to be. Marx and Engels themselves used the Paris Commune as an example of a DOTP. The commune was a democratic workers' state. The USSR was... not quite that. There was democratic management of workplaces in Lenin and Stalin's time - workers could vote to remove their bosses for instance. However, the larger governmental structure was built around the idea that the common people lacked class consciousness and needed a vanguard party to lead them and indoctrinate class consciousness into them before they could have democratic control of the state. Regardless of what people think of Stalin's intentions, this idea failed in the USSR, as Khrushchev and later on had no real intent in ceding power to the workers, even crushing an attempt at doing so in Czechoslovakia, and workers became disengaged from the political process leading to eventual uprising and collapse of the USSR. Certainly MLs could point to different examples, maybe Cuba or Burkino Faso under Sankara. But the ML paradigm is not without criticism. That being said, the democratic socialism model is not without criticism either, it keeps getting overthrown by foreign and bourgeoise powers as was the case with Allende and Evo and maybe eventually Maduro. Does the average worker lack class consciousness today, particularly in America? Yes. Is the revolutionary vanguard party model the best way to unite workers in this country? Probably not. The rightist test called me Geo-Libertarianism. Which seems to be neo-georgism, which was my last ideology before leaving liberalism, so it checks out.
