Their business model was to make shows that were short enough to watch on your phone when between activities (waiting in line at the grocery store, commuting to work via mass transit). Then COVID-19 happened and people weren't going out.

The short format conveniently got around the unions! I'm sure all the B-list talent didn't take a loving pay cut to work on it, they just stiffed hair, makeup, rigging, etc.
