Conspiracy theorists don't really use logic that you can really absorb and make sense of. Part of the attraction to conspiracy is it is much easier for some people to believe the hardship in the world is due to hostile actors or agencies rather than due to society we built being fundamentally hosed. It's more comforting to think that if it wasn't for those evil all powerful satanists eating babies everything would be fine as opposed to the entire world is hosed because of the society we all built, live in and contribute too. One of those has a very easy solution that does not require the believer to change in any way. The other requires change.

I do believe there are plenty of hostile actors putting a lot of effort in loving things up further and keeping them hosed up so they can profit from it though. But in much more mundane ways than most conspiracy theorists believe. Mostly wealthy people influencing lawmaking and public opinion to bend things in their favor.

Oh my god, I let this play for the first few seconds and was SURE I wouldn't watch this video, and then the twist showed up and yeah..... incredibly worth my 25 minutes. I only know Soduku from attempting it once, figuring out that same basic trick this guy uses (mark down remaining possibilities). But this is not Sodoku. This is something much crazier and it works somehow.

Normally it would be interesting how people are just philosophically reevaluating their relationship with mortality and going EHHHH gently caress IT but I know this is actually a failure of like, collective compassion, and that's what bums me out most

Weird. I assume this is a guy who drives the truck that brings them all thier food and stuff, not a UPS guy or something. When I worked fast food in high school those deliveries took an hour plus with lots of contact in enclosed spaces and handing boxes off to each other so it would make sense that would be a vector way more than dropping off occasional packages would be.

My company just issued a pretty strict policy for social distancing, PPE/sanitization and meeting restrictions. They actually wrote out that if you fail to wear a mask, wash your hands etc you can be disciplined up to termination. I’m glad I work for a company not run by braindead chuds that won’t tolerate idiots whining about their freedom.
