I went out for groceries today and it's a clusterfuck emailed my boss to ask to work 12-8 on wednesdays so I can shop for groceries without being run over, hopefully he doesn't mind

Again, I hope I’m wrong here but I don’t get it. The CDC can publish guidelines that are too restrictive to allow schools to open and the state plan can be to follow CDC guidelines, but if the state decides schools need to be open they will just ignore the CDC guidelines and do whatever. What are the penalties if you didn’t let your child go back to school because you thought it was unsafe as a parent? Does CPS come and take your kids and put them in foster care? How on earth are you going to have enough CPS workers to do that if many parents decide they don’t think their children are safe? Where do you find the foster families?

I'm pretty sure it's a nationwide trend but even like 2 weeks before the lockdown here, restaurant and public venue traffic was way, way down I don't anticipate people flocking en masse, even the initial rush is a small percentage and once they get it out of their systems they'll probably stay home too
