There is a dark joy to be had from reading comments on the newest anime episode along the lines of "I hope Rachel is OK", knowing that these same people will be calling for her blood soon. Although, I'm still pretty uncomfortable with the way things go in the early story between the two of them. If a person tells you to leave them alone and go away, you should probably leave them alone and go away. But also, ya know, Bam grew up in a cave or something, so what does he know

I’ve been binging on this (for the first time) the past few days and I just finished the Floor of Death arc, with everyone back on the Hell Train getting ready to go to the Hidden Floor. I went through it all so quickly that I missed out/lost track of who some of the characters are in the different groups. Can anyone help me identify who these are? I realize that there’s a lot of characters that are just outright unnamed, but I don’t remember seeing them previously. Who is the floating person in the back near Bero Bero when Irure comes back into the room on the train? (Panel from S2E260)  Who are the two people here with Yura and Wangnan? I wasn’t paying attention in previous chapters and initially thought it was Miseng, but didn’t she leave the train with Cassano? Is the hooded figure Traveller? (Panel from S2E259)

It's been a while and I'm not rereading it right now, but off the top of my head the white haired girl is White's 6th clone that he doesn't know exists at that point, who is made up of a lot of the souls he consumed back when he was a Slayer. She's basically a byproduct of White's existence. That hooded guy, again off the top of my head, so I could be wrong, is in fact Traveller. I think that girl is in fact Miseng, cus of the hair. The one who liked Horyang (Casano's good brother) and got off to take care of him is the glasses girl who's name I don't remember. EDIT: Actually wait, if you are post Hell Train, then White does know she exists now.

Yeah Miseng was just making sure Cassano was committing to it. Leaving the train means he can't get back on/catch up with his team, which is kind of a big opportunity cost for him.

With the quantity of stuff learned through SIU blog posts and the dozens of characters doing their own things, absent from 100s of episodes, i sometimes wonder if the series would not be better served having SIU as a writer/coordinator and other artists doing their own titles under the umbrella tower of god. Bonus points for being easier on the man's broken wrists. Not so much as a marvel/dc thing, more like the hellboy-verse, with mignola or the incal universe with jodorowski. Is there any example like that in manga/manhwa?

There's mangas with spinoffs that let you look at other parts of the setting. The most obvious recent one is MHA with Vigilantes. So much of the out of comic info stuff seems to be stuff SIU eventually wants to debut in ToG, though, so I'm not sure how much there'd be to see. If the anime could get super big there's a lot of freaking room for filler, though. Imagine all the tests SIU glossed over in skipping floors and stuff and you could have infinite filler without messing up any time frames.

People are very in love with a lot of the S1 cast and that was kind of the case back when it happened in the Manwha, too. Lots of people griping about Khun and Androssi not being present and not giving a poo poo about the new characters.

So fast pass blog spoiler is that SIU is taking an indefinite hiatus. He said he got a neck hernia which while treated he went back to work too soon resulting in a back hernia and these combined with his arthritis means he needs time to recover a bit and wants to get some chapters ready so that if he needs to take a more extended hiatus stuff can still be released

The music in the anime is fantastic. It does such a good job of creating an unsettling mood for the entire back half of that episode. Really makes you feel like you can't trust anyone about anything.

It's difficult to respond/comment on the significance of Irregulars in the anime thread since I don't remember how much the early things around them were revealed in actual plot twists, random SIU blog posts, or just gradual lore dripped in slowly over the course of the story.

They will probably skip over Phantaminium entirely since even teh author regrets putting him in as a cameo. EDIT: It's not until the Floor of Death that we find out more about Enryu besides his ranking and that he's an irregular.

Lol at the ranker who was so excited to work at Zahards altar immeditatly getting executed to keep the order under wraps. The three choices for the order were pretty shocking and I think the order coming down was one of the best scenes in the entire Hell Train. Last Station could have been cool but as everyone gets stronger this comic is turning into people floating around SHWINNNNG ing at each other instead of doing things
