Pilot maneuvers, Pilot/Intel seating, and as a bonus it's an Undine design. Too bad it's lockbox instead of lobi.

It's this. Understandable if people don't realise at first because I was lost too and I've been fastidious about claiming every promotion since day dot.

You claim the uniform under uniforms and THEN the vanity shield appears under promotions. Not before.

Yeah I know.

At least they actually added a new lobi shup for the first time in... what, a year? Not that the undine cruiser was all that exciting and command spec doesn't help much, but hey.

MREs - They're whats for breakfast, lunch AND dinner !
So I found out something tonight while doing the Kobiyashi Maru event. Apparently the Protomatter Field Projector from the Lukari Ho'kuun Science Vessel affects the K-Maru to a significant degree. I saw one guy using it near the K and it healed up that suicidal little cargo ship from about 10% to 100% in about 5-8 seconds. If you have the Mult-Mission Explorer triplets you can equip all 4 consoles of the Alliance Multi-Mission Systems Set which buffs the recharge & intensity of the Protomatter Field even more.

I’m pretty sure it’s one of the only heals in the game that bases itself on total hull percentage and not just healing a flat number of HP. Given the KM is a huge stack of slowly moving hitpoints, it’s a very good time to be using that console.

Hello Goons, somehow I've found myself gorging on TNG on Netflix again while the world is ending. This has of course got me all amped to dip my toes back into STO. I've been doing some light googling and have discovered that they finally added a Borg ship into the game (Liberated Juggernaut I think?). I'm a die hard Borg fan and would like to try and get this ship and make a cool Borgy build around it, I'm sure it's terrible but I don't really care about min/maxing at all since I just play with my other Goon buddy through the episodes.

My question for you is what is the best way to get this ship? I see it costs a zillion dollars on the exchange so is just buying keys and selling them the best choice? I don't mind spending some RL cash to help facilitate that I just want to do it as smart as possible. I also have no problem discussing procuring the ship through a fellow Fleet member if they can strike me a better deal as well. Open to any suggestions you may have!

If you're really set on it...

Buy keys for real money and sell for in game cash. Watch the market prices to make sure you spend the least $$$ IRL as possible. Also figure out whatever is currently the best trading channel to do this sort of thing. Or discord these day, I don't know, I'm out of date. Sometimes it can be a seller direct to buyer transaction.

Without checking prices myself you'll probably spend like a couple hundred (realbucks) going off prices of previous promo ships. When the Annorax (very popular) launched the price fluctuation was nuts. Best time to buy is probably the second or third day after the new product launches after the "at any cost" people already bought theirs and the sellers are slowly dropping prices from ultrapeak as the rest of the market catches up.

Side note, if you are a die-hard Borg fan, may I suggest the mildly cheaper option of Borging up your ship instead?

That said, yeah, keys to STO-credits, or sometimes even just go to a trading channel and offer keys for trade for it. There's usually someone willing to take you up, but be sure to shop around.

I appreciate the advice. I do have that whole set already (Running it on my Miracle Worker Rom Ship now) was hoping to run that set on the Borg ship for extra Borg action! I'll try to do my due diligence and shop around a bit before making any decision.

its probably another test to see if people bite and shell out the $$$ for a single legendary ship, if succesful we may see more of that, including single releases of the ships from the 10. anniversary bundle

And if you do buy it, copy your character to tribble BEFORE you open the pack and test to see if you actually like the ship. If not, toss it back on the exchange.

I almost bought one myself, but after testing decided it just wasn't fun to fly (to me).

How is the Eclipse Intel Cruiser? I'm trying the figure out a way to spend these bound rep fleet modules, and I already have a pilot escort so I'm trying to find a nimble cruiser, but most of them look pretty starved for tactical boff seats.

Too many engineering bridge officer slots. Was good when it came out because both the meta and the ships generally available were in a much different state back then however it hasn't stood the test of time.

Grab the T6 fleet avenger battlecruiser instead. It's much better.

Alternatively the fleet paladin temporal battlecruiser with the ranger skin is pretty good too. Turn 10 from memory.

The ranger skin has to be bought from the c-store, right? I like the setup of the temporal battlecruiser but can't stand the default look.

Yes, I know I'm old, get off my fucking lawn so I can yell at these clouds.

The Fleet Miracle Worker Shepard Cruiser is also pretty good. 2 tac (ltc & ensign) 1 eng (cdr) 1 sci (ensign) 1 ltc universal

Consoles are solid too. 5/4/2/1 eng/tac/sci/universal. Lets you get 5 of the tac consoles and rip poo poo apart.

I ran it as a beam boat but it can also do dual cannons.

Yes and because of the default look it's almost mandatory.

The Fleet Hoover gets the Molecular Reconstruction gimmick so it can get super zippy in offensive mode. I'd probably choose the Shepard over it but it is a solid choice for a fleet module-only cruiser/warship. The warship designation gives you a better mastery pool and a ton of tac seating but you lose cruiser command auras.

Running TFOs with fleet mates is so, so much nicer than with pubbies. Just having one or two people on voice who know how the objectives work is beautiful. Even with one of us getting disconnected at the last stage we still managed to pull off the win!

This has me excited to dive back in and farm up some items on these missions. Once thing I always liked about this MMO from the beginning was the ability to set the difficulty of the questing to some degree to give yourself more or less of a challenge.

also it helps to have good BOFFs when doing this as well, they can make a huge difference. One of my favorites is my Caitian melee boff. Between Pounce, Lunge, and the Furiadon Fangs she has 3 distance closers and runs like the loving wind (The Burnham CQC armor/shield help). She can hit pretty hard too!

Nimbus was fun before they nerfed veteran boffs. An away team of 4 vet boffs in omega gear would cap the whole team's dodge and avoidance so you were incapable of taking more than 1 damage from any attack. You could just afk anywhere on the map and infinitely tank swarms of whatever.

Alas
