I really try to take TERFs at their word sometimes because I don't know, maybe some of them are just ignorant and fell in with the wrong people, and as a trans man I'm relatively safe to debate them but I really cannot wrap my head around the idea of sex-based oppression, that is to say, that misogyny is actually like a material consequence of menstruation, pregnancy, other womb things. Even if we don't follow it to its logical conclusion, that having babies is an expression of womanhood (feministly!), is it not letting the patriarchy set the terms of womanhood?

The only people I know in real life who could be called terfs are three 60+ year-old lesbians I know, all of whom would call themselves very left-wing and have taken serious measures to battle sexism in their lifetimes. It's a weird thing and I don't feel like I can talk about it comfortably as a cis guy.

ok this constant media push for "air corridors" has made me realise that the only reason its going to work is if the holiday destination "ie all of benidorm" is quarantined from the local population, just letting disease brits run around the place boozing up and sharing bodily fluids it will be bartenders and waiting staff in full PPE too

Have I missed the meeting where it was decided to increase the number of war contemplation days? As well as armistice day we have to be respectful and solemn on the anniversary of every battle that made it to DVD. I think we need more public guidance so that we can plan respectful riots. Protests are OK on Bridge Too Far day, as long as you don't cross moving water. That sort of thing.
