Maybe Principal and the Pauper is the one to show since there’s nothing else like it in the run of the show

I want to say anything in S5 or 6 would be the most "typical" of what the series would echo but fail to really replicate in terms of quality.

I just remembered a formative dream I had at the onset of puberty. I was watching from the shadows as my mom seduced my dad in contest with another woman. She said "We'll do it every Sunday night at eight. And we'll call it 'Man... With His Pants Off' " And my first dreamthought, swear to God, swirled in with my physiological response to this incredibly hot and nasty poo poo from the recesses of my brain I had no context for, was "I'll miss The Simpsons...!" (USER WAS PUT ON PROBATION FOR THIS POST)

Hey, you can't question what you dream. It doesn't always have a surface meaning

yeah but you chose to use the descriptor of "hot" when describing your dream and that's the part where you get to choose what to say! Accept this moment of shunning!

Watching "$pringfield" and saw a cut for syndication scene that definitely deserves to be cut. Homer is being a blackjack dealer and there's a short Rainman bit that's absolutely terrible because it is Homer bugging Dustin Hoffman's character and the whole thing devolves into both characters screaming. It is a weird awful part of a funny episode.

An interesting syndication bit is changing Homer's stolen Oscar to Don Ameche from Haing S. Ngor after the latter was murdered. Though it originally aired while he was alive, viewers might otherwise have been led to believe that Homer had something to do with his death. Watching the season 1 dvd is kind of weird like that because they were the longest episodes, most seldom seen once the episode catalog grew, and had the most cut from them so it's like you're seeing brand new Simpsons, but from when it was brand new. They would probably have a better shot trying to emulate the style of the first season, down to the pastel to white gradient backgrounds, than what they're doing now storywise and stylistically. It couldn't get any worse, right?

If you pick the 3 wood and try to feather touch it, you won't sink the ball. HOWEVER if you use the 3 wood, select power drive, and enter the 788 code from the putter the ball will sink into the hole. I have officially won with the 3 wood

I was too young to get the reference but my brother really hated that part for the reasons you've mentioned. He also took offense to the Australian episode as a whole when we were younger. He loves it now, though. lol. edit- wow i share more details about my family in this thread than any other (im the one whose mom had the celebrity-death kfc)

I watched the Burns's Heir episode earlier and the robot Richard Simmons deleted scene is so burned into my brain that when Burns responded to Homer's "do your worst" by just walking back inside it absolute killed me
