family friends from egypt introduced the "eat olives when it's hot" technique for salt replenishment and hot drat food tastes good when it's tasty, BUT when said food is also exactly what your body needs it somehow transcends taste to become something transcendent or something? the best food i've ever eaten was a tasty dried fruit/nut/granola mix when i was in the middle of my first treeplanting year. i needed each and every bit of the nutrition and i wept with joy at the taste of dried pineapple and raisin
